Anyone know if the kor front tracbar has to use their bushings or if I could get jks bushings to replace mine?
you can use JKS bushings, or energy suspesion universal bushings
turns out my 8.8 is bent, which caused everything to happen that did.
gotta take it to charlotte to get andy from what used to be carolina rockshop, now he works for fabfours, to straighten it so i can get the shaft back in on the pass side.
FMJ!

Wouldnt the 100 bucks (roughly) for a new 8.8 housing be easier then getting it straightened?
grinding, getting new link mounts, new truss, new triangulated shock tabs for the limit straps, welded them on, painting it....done in a week if i'm REALLY lucky and don't homework and everything were to happen like i'd want it to (which seems to not happen when it comes to my jeep)
too much time, and more money than getting it straightened for about $150 and 2 hours.
jeeps been down for like a month and a half, and its my DD. don't have time to build another 8.8 cause i need the jeep back on the road again, driving a 4 cyl 5 speed tj gets old quick too.
I completely forgot about the welding up of the brackets and such. I gotcha now.
Oh if there was a a bolt in 8.8 I'd already have it on the way in
turns out derek's idea is coming through because of some luck, maybe things will turn around on this stupid thing...knock on wood...
a guy in my jeep club was going to build a 44/8.8 and put it under his xj this winter, but decided(today) he might as well go 1 tons on it and save doing the work twice...so he's selling the 44/8.8....so theres my new 8.8 housing, already stripped really really every single spot has been checked on it, tons of time in it already so it's in great shape. all i have to do now is weld brackets onto that bitch and put all the pricey stuff back inside it, but not until next weekend so yet another week goes by that my DD is rear-axle-less.
Sucks when you're rig is your DD don't it.
I wanted to get some wheeling in while i was home from school for thanksgiving, but if i broke anything I'd have no way of getting back to school. Can't take the chance.

theres some more footage i found from a member of my local club on youtube from our last uwharrie trip. little white xj is the guy that made the videos, therefore he's in the videos the most.
new 8.8 is welded all up and in the jeep, gears are getting set up tomorrow, shafts in brakes on all that jazz....and jeep will be back in action after 7 weeks on the disabled list
got my jeep back and realized how much i don't like DD'ing it.
no swaybars, no alignment, bad bushing in the front tracbar...eek.
glad i have it back though.
So get some endlinks and setup a sway bar. It'd make a ton of difference.
rained all day and i have a wet passenger side husky liner. wtf? anybody know a ghetto fix to a leaky windsheild seal?
Loctite's "gasket maker" in a pressure tube. You'll never use anything diffrent for anything. Works awsome on diff covers/tranny pans/oil pans/ full float shaft. You get my point
Got xbox live, gamertag is grandjeeep97, with 3 e's. Hit me up on cod5 or NCAA fb 09
engine is locked up. time for a new jeep, 5.9 perhaps?
scratch that, going to get a re-manufactured engine in there instead. could i put a remanufactured 5.9 in there direct swap where the 5.2 was?
