I'd be happy to squeeze 1 decent 10" in a sealed box and call it good. Won't take up much space, and I don't listen to gangsta music anyways.
whatup hella 500s.
those puppies are about to be $$$$$
Careful with dark tint. I've seen people pulled over solely for dark tint, at which point they had to remove it on the spot or they got a ticket.
20 is all I was going to do, but wtf? How are you supposed to remove it on the spot pulled over?
35 is the legal limit, Nc is cracking down on tint, just roll down the windows when driving by.
That's what I'm going for
Thats pretty much what my box looks like. I have it saved on Google Sketchup, if you want it. The volume was like .63 cu ft i think, I'll check if you want the file.
It may just be my opinion, but that's stupid
you can peel at it without blade..... or you can just get a ticket then go to a tint shop and have them print up a removal receipt and take it to court and get it dropped....
That's the plan
background-on sunday, i was fishing and i was on the side of a 2 lane highway by a lake
story- so i'm leaving, and i pull out onto the road, which is probably a solid foot higher than the shoulder of the road, and the force rips the johnny joint out that i had just replaced last week. the lock nut had come up a little on the JJ, and the impact just ripped the last couple threads off it because i didnt have very many in it (dumb).
so i'm sitting on the side of the highway after wiggling my way back off with 1 LCA LA apart and my rear axle moving back and forth under me.
pull the JJ off and put it back in and then get it all squared away, all put back together the easiest way it fits in there, which is about an inch more threaded in than the other side. so i've been riding around town crooked as hell as my rear axle is to where the pass tire hits the rocker, and the driver rear hits the bumper difference...so i fixed that this afternoon
by myself....
note-
floor jack holding weight of jeep off the ground an inch or 2 or so.
hi lift only holding the weight of the rear of the jeep up a little bit from ride height, so that the rear axle can be adjusted side to side
tow strap that i had around both axles on pass side pulling them together to get the arm to fit to the bracket that i had gotten them the same length (34" bolt to bolt)
then as im pulling the tow strap, i had to push the driver rear tire backward to spin the pass side closer more, then holding the arm to the bracket with my knee, and then sliding the bolt through at the same time.
i'm proud of myself
How much thread was in the JJ? half an inch?
yeah probably about a half inch of the thread got a little bit stripped off, idk how there was only that much on there to begin with, but i hit the edge of the road pretty hard too when i ripped it off.
I think I only have 1/2" showing at most on all of my CA's....of course that will be changing this weekend with the new 9" going in.
thats where my JJ's are at. theres about an inch and a half in the arm, inch and a half out of it.
note- that rusty ass bracket and all other rusty ass stuff has been rustolium-ed black again since that picture of the bracket
if those johhny joints have 1" diameter threads, i would say you have about 2" to 2 1/4" of threads showing, plus about 1/2" to 3/8" thickness on the jam nut.. so i would bet you only have about 1/2" of threads actually in the arm. Just judging by the picture... i could be wrong. Seems to me, you might want to crank those suckers in a little more if you can, just to be a little on the safe side. just my .02 cents.
g-
Yeah I've got to pull pull the wishbone in a little to get the pinion angle down a little bit before I can bring the arms any closer.
Thanks for the input!
Yeah I'd pull those in if at all possible....you've got a lot of thread showing, and that's a vulnerable spot too, lots of stress.

1 point towards my bling scale
I've got a camera, its just easy to load them to facebook, then to photobucket then they're on here. When quality matters, or I'm taking a larger quanity ill use the real camera, but its way easier, and faster to use my blackberry
more blackberry pictures for elliot's liking
I got some time and took apart the whole dash just to do this...
and finally moved my rock light switches to a better place instead of dangling down from beneath the dash at my feet. they'll do fine there for now until i make something a little nicer to put in the place of the VIC to make it look a little better, notice the Uwharrie dust INSIDE my dash
PS, makes a great place for my ipod while i'm cruising around
