This is my ZJ at about 4in lift and short arms!!!!
I just installed my Clayton LA's!!!!
Also 5.5 front RE coils and rear 4.5 coils and KOR TB
The Junk!!!!
nice rig. I would ditch the rustys shocks. and go with bilstein or rancho. What made you go with 32s on a 5.5" lift? I used mine on my 7 because i had them before i bought the lift and the price was right.
Cool lookin' bumper.
What RE 5.5 coils did you use? xj 5.5 coils?
They are XJ RE 6.5 coils...So it put me at 5.5 coils!!!
I had the 32's already!!!!
I still got to ge longer shocks..which I'm going with REmonotubes or bilsteins, longer drive shaft...I think if I go flex it will fall out..lol..and longer brake lines!!!!!
Since I put the new front coils on I cant run the sway bar any more because it hits...Is there a Shorter Sway bar? I moved my caster to get my springs away from TB bracket because it was also hitting, it mooved away preety good.....Also a ton of bump steer!!!!!
I also think I need to push the axle foward?
Wat do u guys think??
Hey nice jeep. I think your front driveshaft is in backwards.
Looks nice, looks like you could have used some sliders a while back ha ha, it happens to the best of us. And yes double carden joint should stay at the transfer case end, and they are talking about your front drive shaft, just so nobody is confused. Because the rear driveshaft will only go in one way
BTW, I like the bumper, looks pretty sweet. Any plans for a winch
were those RE front adjustable control arms? want to sell?
Sway bar is too long? Where does it hit?
Quit yelling at us with all of the !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We're all excited when we get new toys for our rigs, but save the !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks....I try to keep it as clean as I can.It has a double carden at the TC and at the axle....Custom Tomwoods drive shaft..I going to make some sliders for it..My pops did all those dents before he gave it to me...lol.No plans for a winch on this bumper,it was just made to hold lights, but I need to make get KOR tow bar.
The Sway bar hits the spring when I hook it up
Here's a lil update....I pushed axle foward and got my longer drive shaft...first time flexin with long arms!!!!
I need longer shocks!!
I really do like that bumper...pretty good flex too...now get away from the mall and find some rocks!
I like you're style... just wait though... sooner or later it'll look like mine and you'll look back and say... damn.
trust me though, it's all worth it.
edit: they sell longer axle side sway bar endlink mounting locations. They're pretty simple.. cut off the ones you have, weld on newer, longer ones that'll allow you to get more clearance from the springs. It's one solution to look into, and a fairly simple one at that.
CV's at both ends o the drive shaft really? and it doen't vibrate at all? I'd call tom wood's back and get the right one, I've yet to see a driveshaft with CV's at both ends.
I don't see a need to have a CV at both ends of the shaft, majority f the angle is at the TC....
Im cluck in my front end and I think my tie rod and drag link are bent....I'm not sure when it happened.....I want to upgrade and I'm think of buying TnT 1ton steering or JCR. Who's should I go with?
Also do I need to buy a new drop pitmat arm for these kits?
I did some searching they both seem to be good..
I'm not the only one who noticed it, just trying to keep the guy from being laughed at. I would have figured that thing would flop around, but run it if it works, or until it breaks. Just wondering if he specifically ordered it that way, or if it just came out of the box that way when it showed up....
Tnt 1 ton & JCR are essentially the same, maybe identical. Go JCR and save yourself a buck. You should avoid a drop pitman arm at all costs, your steering box is weak enough. JCRs included a washer you will need to keep things from flopping around. I've been researching these for about 2 months, and this is what I have found. Also, I got a pretty good confirmation from someone who is actually running it.
Now you just have to decide if you want OTK or UTK...OTK is higher up, but will require modifications and additional expenses, UTK is almost bolt on...save for the reaming of knuckles and such.
Wats this mean OTK or UTK?
The TnT kit is cheaper than the JCR kit....
