Here's some of the beginning of the install of the clayton that came in. And here's a bunch of the Clayton's packages hanging out.

    And of course Pat's TJ

Time to make room for the passenger side unibody stiffiners and control arm brackets.

And Fuzzy going under the knife!

And Master Chief doing his own

    Dropping the lp30

    Mmm...Clayton's arms

    And some ACOS action

Mounting the front Bilsteins on the JKS Shock Conversions

    New completely polished turdy

ACOS is sitting a little further than we would like so we are going to push the axle forward some.

    Trimming the track bar

    And the wantans

    And now the fun part

Here's the sound of the stock exhaust on the 5.9

    http://s303.photobucket.com/albums/n...t=MVI_0571.flv

And a 5.9 cut off after the y pipe

    http://s303.photobucket.com/albums/n...t=MVI_0575.flv

    More to come soon

Lol, good point. I'm sure with all the work that has been done in Maxx's driveway the entire neighborhood hates him

And some more progress of the front end and rear
So let's start doing some more work on the front end, bolting in all the coils, tightening up some bolts, etc etc.

So here's the Josh under the jeep with me trying to get this FREAKING pitman arm out. I can't describe the frustration of getting this thing out. We busted some tools and knuckles getting it out. Ending up taking a cutting disc and a sawzaw to it in the end. Thanks again to Preppi and Shadow for reaming out the Clayton's pitman arm for me

And here's that POS that finally broke off

Master chief helping out with the front end

    Close up of the LA's

    Secksay

Haha, front end vs. rear end

    Front stance on 31's!

The beast coming to embarrass me

And a few of shots of Maxxs on 40's next to mine on 31's on the front, my rear is sitting low still since we haven't swapped the 44hd out for the 8.8

    Rear puny

Another front shot of the 5.9

And the front appears to be sitting slightly higher

And of course Pat's and Maxxs

And here is the 5.9 minus the exhaust backing out of the driveway to back back in

    http://s303.photobucket.com/albums/n...t=MVI_0608.flv

Lots of more work to come

Got some work done on the jeep last weekend. Time to work that rear end so let's get to it.
    Pulling rear 44hd out

    Goodbye rear!

    Hello 8.8

Going to need to get some uber epoxy for the rear acos. For now we just threw on 2 inch pucks to make it sit level. Coils bow pretty bad, might need to relocate the upper mount...

Front axle needs to shift to passenger side still

Tall bitchhh! Almost with Maxx's 40's

Rear is 9 1/2 inches from tire to fender...Maxx' is 7 1/2 for perspective.

    Close to Maxx's!

Right now I sit about 3 inches shorter than Maxx's...when the new iroks get on, I'll be about 2 inches shorter than him. Bitchhh is tall! Putting on shocks, doing brakelines, tightening bolts, installing rear acos...and thats about it!

So got some work done on the transfer case. Finally got it to fit in snug but of course we ran into other problems. Lets take a look

Undercarriage shot before we go in

Start taking that pos 249 down

    Repainted up the Clayton crossmember

    Driveshafts and 249

    Jack helping support the pulling

    And yank, it is out!

And the new 231 with the sye

    Close up of the SYE

    SYE + the 231 again

    Moving it under the heep

And trying to bolt it in...

But not quite all the way, the input shafts were different so we pulled the 249 apart and swapped the shafts. And it's in!

And another undershot of the trussed rear 8.8

    The hp 30 lookin' fine

Ran into a little snag...the Tom Wood's drive shafts don't fit snug so I'm going to need to have a shop lengthen and shorten them. Blast

POS 249 and the infamous VC

    Rear stance

    Front stance

Another shot of the front ACOS

And Maxx got his cutting done, opens the front up nicely and Josh messed around with his rear control arms. All of the projects are moving along nicely though.

Some more goodies came in the other day.

FINALLY that darn tracbar jamnut came in from TNT customs

And of course the new rubbers came in. Can't wait to see them mounted on Trail Ready beadlocks, definitely on the to do list asap.

Keep you updated as the rest of it comes in.

Did you order the shaft directly from Tom Woods? Did you make your measurements properly?

When my shaft came it was too short. The measurements we gave them were verified and it ended up that Tom Woods sent the wrong length. They immediately sent us a new shaft at no cost -- and even offered to overnight it since it was a time crunch to get my Jeep ready for an event. Tom Woods has awesome customer service. If you are sure your measurements are correct and you bought this shaft new, I would call them first before spending money locally to get it fixed.

I bought the drive shafts directly from Maxx. Because my 9er transmission is different than his the driveshafts were the wrong length, no biggie. I already got them shorted and lengthened respectively and they bolted right up I have heard that TW has great CS though, they make some beef products too.

tom woods does have great service but the tom woods shafts that fuzzy got where the old ones from under maxx's zj before he put the tons under it. Im guessing that the block is longer in Fuzzys so he had to shorten the rear and lengthen the front??????????

Getting some work on the 5.9 in an attempt to see it move! Let's dive in shall we.

The beast next to the 5.9

    And the beast

Pat's TJ is making good progress too

So time to install the Kevins Offroad Steering brace. Pretty simple install, used the old screws from my swaybar that is now gone to screw it in.

Line KOR brace up on the bolts and around Clayton's pitman arm and away we go! Along with some after shots.

Driveshafts are in now, tightened the steering down, gave it an "eye" alignment, etc etc. And we are set to move!

Gasing up for the first time in a while. Was running on fumes on the way there. Not bad considering gas was like $4 last time I filled up

    Broski shot

Made my way over to my friend JT's house to do a little surgery.

    Smiley plasma cutter/welder

More knife time. We cut the old control arm brackets off and checked out the 231 transfer case linkage problem. Diagnosed it with a shot rubber snap on so I'll be heading to the stealership to pick up a new one this week. And cut!

Now its time to take off Kevins rock rails so I can build my own here shortly.

And cutting the old brackets off the KOR rails

So we got the jeep moving but it still needs a lot of work. I'll get some more pictures of the finished product today/tomorrow when there is more light out

Those rock rails are going on my brothers jeep. When he gets back from military school this thanksgiving they are getting welded up on his jeep. Need to make some new bracketry for them obviously since we cut all of the existing stuff off.

    I couldn't agree more

How you been man, haven't heard from you in a while. Making your way towards Richmond anytime soon?

Swapped vins, was quite pissed when I found out and now its a matter of legal bullshit and paper pushing with the state, who takes forever, to get it straightened out. Even then the original owner must sign a form saying they are not interested in the car, which is also bullshit, and the cake topper is the original owner is in a state prison somewhere in southern va, fan fucking tastic

Hopefully they sign it, if not im fucked

Ordered an Aero 3030 exhaust from CrawlerReady. Got a great deal on it not to mention shipped quickly from Tyler, great customer service

Ordered a universal magnaflow catalytic converter from Summit Racing as well to go along with the new exhaust setup.

And got my transfer case linkage grommet in so I'll be snapping that new one on this week.
