Man this was one hell of a trip. I tore my jeep up pretty damn good this time around. the plan was 3 nights, all the way through to the tahoe side, but because of our problems we ended up just hitting little sluice up for a few days then went back to loon.

Day one: In gatekeeper, slid off a rock sideways, bent the SH*T out of my tierod and popped a bead at the same time. Got the bead repaired, and just ignored the tierod till later. A little bit too much force on the steering later on bent the tierod even worse, to where the nut for the draglink was hitting one of my mounts not allowing me to turn, so we found a spot to camp, set up and got to work. I sleeved half my tierod with a high lift handle, and then welded some angle iron to the tierod behind the draglink nut to stop it from bending there again, and act as a sliding surface.

Day two: Went smooth for most of the day, but in the mid afternoon I blew my front right brakeline on an obstacle. After lots of asking around and talking to people, i found a guy with a brake line pinch thing who gave it to me so I could get on my way (http://www.matcotools.com/ProductImages/hp2285.jpg). After that, we finally made it to little sluice on the 4th to have some fun and watch people f*ck their shit up.

Day three: not much wheelin, just hangin around the sluice, watching people tear their trucks up. That I can remember, that night I saw one buggy blow his radiator, a toyota flopped hard, a toyota on 35's or 36's made it through unscathed (BADASS) and a couple buggies just hammering down and spinning the steering wheel. Anyways it was quite the show.

Day four: workin our way out starting nice and early in the morning. We were makin pretty damn good time until we got to the spot where I blew my brakeline. yeah, I guess its just bad damn luck for me. Going through the same obstacle, I broke my draglink in half. AWESOME. Luckily we had some tube, so once again we busted out our battery weldage skills, and built me a new draglink. After that there no problems, and I got to limp the bitch home 70 somethin miles. On the way home i noticed my ass end seemed to be hangin out the right side of the jeep a little, so when I got home I checked out my rear CA mounts and sure enough, i bent the shit outta my lower left rear.

I didn't have my camera with me, but a couple of people did so I should have pics up in a few days. It was one hell of a trip.

I'm still gettin pics together and stuff, here's my steering after the fact. A scrap metal drag link and hi-lift sleeved tierod with some angle iron welded to it where the drag link attatches =D

Then, everyone said i was dogtrackin on the way home. I got home and looked at my rear axle from the back of the truck and sure enough it was misaligned pretty good. Went and looked at my LCA mounts...yeah lol.
    So heres a normal one...

    And yeah...

yeah for sure. I don't know whether to replace them with some ballistic or similar, or just straighten and gusset for now. BUT all the crap that happened to the front end has gotten me to go highsteer though, considering how much of the steering im replacing anyways.
