I just use the dimensions to place the holes on the sticker templates. Once I have the part cut out, I just drill right where the cross hairs at the center of the hole on the sticker are, after that I pull the stickers off.

Hell ya, I design all of my parts to be 2D so they are easy to cut out. You could easily make a giant set of templates to make your bumper from, at least the small corner pieces which are the most difficult to get symmetrical. Designing those bump stop can brackets, on the previous page, was made infinitely easier by doing them in the computer first.

I dont think he's at much risk in this scenario, he does that to clean for his angle grinder cutting, and I'm sure hes letting it dry before sticking the sheets on

Thanks for looking out for my well being. I saw that thread a while ago and all I've bought since is chlorine free. And like Agitated said, it's long been dry by the time I hit it with the grinder.

No worries, just looking out for a fellow Mall Crawler. We have a family friend who almost died from chlorine gas. His parents had a clogged drain and poured a ton of chemicals down it to try and unclog it and then called him to check it out. He inhaled the fumes and spent 6 months in the hospital. So I know how serious it can be.

Coated the transmission with an industrial epoxy thats tough as shit. It's a lot grayer than it looks in the photo. I'm doing the transfer case tomorrow.

We've got a few projects going

This is the epoxy I used, I bought it at an industrial coating shop.

I finally finished painting and doing the clear coat! and for the first time since June was able to start putting stuff back on it.

^^ Looks like he has some mounts already fabbed up on the upper back part of the shock hoops to tie the two together. Looks like it will bolt in so it can be removed as well.

I know, I know, lazy piece of shit. Actually it's getting there, now the big task is wiring, there is a TON of it. I guess I'll let the cat out of the bag on the final piece of this project. I'm making a controller that will allow me to control all of the electronic accessories wirelessly from my iphone. It will be able to lock/unlock the doors, remote start, control front and rear lockers, control fog lights, control winch, control OBA, control sway bar disconnect and read transmission temp and wide band O2. I'm doing this for a graduate mechatronics project, so finally Jeep work is homework

Haha, you're not saying anything my friends and family aren't also saying.

I'm adding a second power distribution center in an extruded aluminum enclosure with the fuses and relays for the new motor and all the added electronics accessories. I'm having a custom PCB made and a portion of that board is being reserved for an Atmega 644 micro controller and low power wifi chipset. The iphone will automatically connect to the jeep network. I wrote an app that sends out serial commands over wifi to the micro controller which in turn controls everything and takes in sensor data which it then relays back to the phone over wifi.

More details to come.

I'm up in Reno visiting the family for Thanks Giving and I just paid a visit to Trent Off Road, they were pretty nice guys and have a few toys.

Finally picked up my Fox air bumps, they only had 4" travel ones in stock which is more than I need at the moment but apparently you can machine a simple spacer to fit in there to limit the travel to exactly what you want so I figured why the hell not. With these ones I can set the travel to exactly what I want.
