Could you post some pics of the qtr panel guards you made. They look awesome, specifically if we could see the backside by the tail lights. Did you bed them over in the back? Nice rig.
They are just a peice of Alumium rivited on. They end about 1/2 inch from the hatch.
Rick
Who needs it to be removable? I may get it finshed up tomorrow.
Would like to find a bald or near bald 36, 16" rim, TSL local to me, anyone have one?
Rick
nice to see someone else in maryland with a nice ZJ build. mine, the one over on "creepers", will hopefully be done by spring time.
good luck!
Hoping to pull mine out of thegarage tomorrow to get some of this dust off. Your build is looking great too!
Rick
looking good man, now you just have to keep that nice looking back away from the trees.
Its nice to have a garage, I did some welding yesterday and the damn welder froze to the ground after i shut it off.
I plan on doing something for a bumper and some wrap around corner gaurds. But as you all know....It takes time. And for you maryland folk...You know this weather the last two days have brought the suck!
Rick
yeah, I know about the weather. thankfully I got some somewhat protection at my shop. however, there is no heat, except for a kerosene heater and a zuit suit.
as for my build, I get about two good nights a week to work on it. I'm hoping by spring I will be done. rear four link stuff is coming sometime this week.

It moves and drives!
Rick
nice, whats the next step you thinking about doing?
nice man! did you get your brakes sorted out?
Thanks guys!
Slim, I have a bunch of little things to get done. I did finsh the back end with the taillights.... I'm in the middle of a bumper for the rear so I need to finsh that. Bumpstops and Stiffining up the back chop. Lots of little stuff.
Blue, I think so. I've got a good stopping pedal but its low, feels like a typical chevy brake pedal. I'm going to adjust the rod behind the MC and see if I can get it a little higher.
Rick
Finally got some time to finsh up the rear bumper. Just need to pick up some more paint.
Rick
looks good man. i like the lights n shit. when are you takin her out?
Hoping for a trip in March...I need to finsh the Heep and 2 other projects before I go.
I picked up a Military Shelter that fits in the bed of my Dodge. I need to make it a camper. The other porject is my buddys mid 80's Chevy Reg Cab short Bed. 3/4 ton axle swap and 35's with a small lift. All need to be ready for the next trip.
Rick
Started on my front bumper...
Rick
Had it out on its first run thru this 27" of snow we got....Did fairly well.
Rick
Thats what I want mine to look like soon. Looks great man.
Little update. First Trip out on the trail. I'll get more pics later but for a Leaf Sprung Grand with Long arms in the front, I cant bitch about flex. Maxxed out on both axles, front coil is 1" from dropping out.
Perfect!
Only complaint is the need of Hydra Assist steering with the locked front end. I could turn in most cases, but its a work out!
Rick
Awesome! Love the chop.
damn looks like you had fun with it
Figure its time for a small update. Another pic from the last trip.
I've ripped the interior out in prep for a cage. Wired up a inside winch control.
And we bought the wife a newer ride.
2003 WJ. Added A 2" Lift and 265/70/16's on stock JK wheels
Rick
Hit Rausch Creek this weekend
Then came home and unloaded the trailer. And walked in for 30sec and this happened.
What a day.
Damage report....
PS Front Shock Blown
Tie Rod looks like spaggetti
Few new Rocker Dents
Leaf Springs are twisted and de arched
And I'm sick and tired of steering without hydra assist or full hydro
After sitting down and thinking about it, Tags are getting turned in and there will be a full assualt on this pig this fall/winter.
