I plan on relocating it. Just haven't gotten around to it. Haven't really thought about what winch I want to get. Much research to come I guess lol
New crossmember:
progress:
lol
No, I did not save any of the cardboard... why do you ask? And what thread are you referring to?
Installed my new crossmember today. It raised the tranny/t-case up at least an inch, possibly 2 from where it sat before. Didn't notice any vibrations or anything while driving so that's good. This should allow me to build a skid that is flat instead of sloping downward to accomodate for the t-case thus increasing clearance/improving break-over plane. yadayada

Maybee I missed it. but how did you atatch your roofrack on the roof
Custom clamps?
btw nice work
I made some clamps out of channel, but I don't remember the size.
Do you have any good pics of how you mounted the roof rack?
version 2
Weighed the rack last night - only 40.5 lbs!!
I really like that, cleaner looking bends than the last one.
Edit: What type of tube did you use (diameter and thickness)?

Weight was at least cut in half. The last one was HEAVY.
Tubing is HREW 1.25" OD with .083 wall. The first one was bend with a torch and vise , this one was done with my recently aquired Pro-Tools bender.
