Sway bar disco'ed, new longer travel shocks - bad...
Out goes the spring, thanks John and Tom for helping me out!
Unfortunantely when I backed down my exhaust grabbed a rock and kinked it down:
After some hacksaw loving and a wire tire to keep up the exhaust, all is good:
On to the v-notch:
Clank clank clank, ting!
Drive shaft pulls out from transfer case - because LCA pulled apart.
Thanks for working on the driveshaft Matt
The good thing was that is broke on a high spot which gave me plenty of room to work under there:
Tom Wood to the rescue with his welder Thanks again Tom
Lets do the other side for good measure as well so this doesn't happen again:
View going up Launch Pad:
Going up some unnamed obstacle (AFAIK) - I think we're on Golden Spike now:
I conquered it:
Scott taking a dip in the water:
Some folks take the unconventional like into the water
Tom heading on up:
Houston, we have a problem. We're missing Scott - has anyone seen him?
Tom to the rescue:
Pretty uneventful...now at the crack:
Check out that mad flex (sway bar connected so spring doesn't pop out)
Tom crossing:
He is funny since he crosses so leasurely - just chilling in there:
Scott:
John headed up Double Wammy:
Best DW shot:
Thanks to everyone who attended the GS run and helped me out through my 4 mishaps, had a great time! Long trail though, don't think I'll get Liz to ever come on that again
On my first GSW I did the exact same thing to my exhaust. Time for an upgrade. Scott and I have had good luck with Lakewood Muffler on 10th and Wadsworth. You do not want to spend too much money on your exhaust repair because you will be changing it again after longarms anyway.
Nice pics.
Nnice pics, loos fun!
Cool !
Those are some good pix, wish i could have made it. Hopefully next year.
Keith I remember when you put that nice 90% angle on your exhaust that year. Liz was not impressed with Golden Spike Ryan, lucky she was not with us two years ago now that was a long day and night. Kim thought it was pretty cool wheeling at night.
So my title of loosing coils now belongs to Cosmo boy? Great pics Ryan.
I will see if I have pics of my exhaust. I have a short piece of 2.5 inch pipe that is welded to the stock CAT and goes to a glass pack muffler and then routes up over the rear diff and returns to the passenger side behind the rear wheel. I had it routed through a hole in the bumper. Works great. So far I have not hit the exhuast with either the control arms or on a rock. The glass pack is small and sounds decent with the 4.0. It is not loud inside the Jeep. It does point to the side which does make other vehicles hear it but no complaints.
Ahhh yes I remember seeing that last year now
Great pics at the Crack Ryan! Thanks!
However the full size links seem not to work.
awesome pics nice WJ's
Great pics Ryan.
