im still up in the air whether or not to use stock brackets or aftermarket brackets for my 8.8

my first question lies in the placement of the brackets with short arms.

i was looking at something like this: http://www.ballisticfabrication.com/...p_34-1397.html
    for the lower control arms.

now, if i were to mount that directly under the axle (like stock), or in front of the axle to make it more of a high clearence bracket, would it make a difference?

    also,

    would this:

work for a rear track bar?

If you mount it in front of the axle it will push the axle back. I did that and with the claytons kit my driveshaft was 2" too short.

Buy a 8.8 swap kit if you are not confident enough yet to use aftermarket "generic" brackets. That was what I did for my first axle swap and after I completed it I was a lot more confident in my ability so when I did my long arms I custom made all the brackets. The only sure fire way to know what brackets to use and where to put them is to remove the stock rear axle, have the Jeep supported on jack stands and place the new axle under it and start measuring. If you are reusing short arms, and decide to put the brackets in front of the axle you will have to either shorten the arms, or lengthen your wheel base.
