The tranny is gettting fixed and the truck will be done well before then, it's a money issue at this point. I'm not giving up on this trip yet though, I'm gonna do whatever I can to make it, but plunking down an unexpected 5 grand for the BTS tranny is going to make it pretty difficult.

I was actually thinking about that this morning sitting on the shitter. We made our reservations for this trip at GSW, not sure if Monica just carried the group rate over or not.

I'm just a 'hopeful' for this trip at this point. Work is a mess for me in Oct and I need to rebuild the F/R diffs too. It's been one of those years.

What's the latest on the tranny, Dave? Did you drop it off over at Rocky's yet? How long is it going to take?

So Putz and Elliott are in as camera bitches and co-drivers with Pam and I. We'll be taking both rigs out there for the first time in a while. Hooray for spare Jeep!!!

I've gotta call the Redstone to change our reservation to a dog room since we'll probably bring Shaft with us this time. If Monica's around I'll see if I can get her to give us a group rate.

So far I think we've got:

Me & Pam (plus Putz and Elliott)
    Tom
    John
    Will
    Stan
    Stacey
    Matt?
    Jim?

Should be a good group, and allow us to pretty much do whatever trails we want since we're all pretty close in rig size.

It better not be! I don't have my truck back yet and there's no way in hell I'm driving my Jeep to Moab! Should have it back within a week though.

Alright, talked to the Redstone and got a group rate for us. If you've already made your reservation you can call back and get it changed to the group rate, or when you call just let them know you're with the 4x4 Group under the Reichert reservation. Your rate will vary based on the room you get, and they'll probably be a bit more than what you're used to with GSW cuz this will be in season a little more than when we're usually out there. Their # is 435-259-3500

I have Maze permits in September, and then in mid-late October we are going to do a trail called Blue Notch and Parowan Pass that goes down and crosses and area that was previously under Lake Powell, but is exposed and accessible for the first time since the lake was filled....then I'll be in Moab for Turkey day too.

So, if I can fit this one in I will.

You gonna be in town for at least a couple weeks?

I'll get in touch with you soon so we can figure out a schedule. Got some 18g steel to play with too.

Ryan's not the only one who can make sparks in his garage! Although his welder can technically make bigger sparks than mine.

One month to go!! Got the truck back yesterday, couple small things to finish up on my ZJ, need to change out Pam's intake plenum gasket, and then we're ready!

Hey all, I'd like to go but my ZJ is undergoing some reconstruction...anyone have an open seat? I'll get 1/2 gas and some beer...

I can make it to somewhere near Denver. I had all intentions of taking my rig out with you all this year, but it is not gonna be in good enough shape. It could make it, but I don't want to be "that guy" with stupid broken parts and no spares. Plus I'm fairly new to this and would like to watch some of the pros...that and it looks like alot of fun.

I'm not real annoying, I can fix anything but cannot weld, Dave has met me...I'm not too much of a grease fire, and I don't weigh much!

Thanks for any consideration, if not...no biggie, I'll drive out next time.
