got some more work done tonight but the camera died
but we got the lower front of the links mounted now and the start of a cross member... no that will not be how low the skid plate is going to sit... the skid plate will be tucked up in there about 4inches from the bottom of the brackets

I really like the work, but that little subframe looks like it hangs down pretty far...

what kinda steel are you using to make those trusses? and i cant remember what the fancy word for those holes in (what are they) what do you use to make those?
96 ZJ swapped in 5.2, 242, 14bolt rear, big ugly home brew bumper, 7.5" of lift in the front 9" in the rear, long arms, hummer wheels with 37s... (dont worry front axle is next)

It should be heavy. Weight is a sign of reliability. If it doesn't work, you can always hit him with it.

They look like dimple dies, just without the dimples. I think the fancy word for that is a "hole."

The trusses are dimpled. But the subframe holes look like they were plasma'ed out and cleaned up with a flap disc. But that's just a guess.

the subframe will be between 18-21inchs ( i know thats a jump in measurements but nothin is set at a final height yet.. it sits at 18 now but we plan to make it go up 2 or 3 more inches) off the ground.. its 1/4inch and wont catch on anything so im not worried about it coming down a little lower than the frame..
the holes are just that.. holes.. cut with a drill press and hole saw.. the ones on the truss are dimple dies

both the front and rear 4link is done

the only thing we might get into is problems with the driver side upper link hitting the drive shaft but once we get things all cycled and if they hit them we will just make it a 3link set up

everything else is coming along good and tomorrow we start the rock sliders and some rollcage hopefully

    stay tuned for more tomorrow

Have you mocked up or figured out how you're going to mount your front coil overs yet?
