ok so it didnt start when i wanted it too but as of last night this is what i got done...
rear axle and hopefully transfercase will be out by noon tomorrow
well the rear axle is out.. along with the transfer case, and the gas tank
yes i know the jack stands are not to safe and are being fixed by welding some stands to each corner of the jeep once we fine the right height i want...
also all the stuff came out...
waiting on a little extra money for a custom griffin radiator... i want on thats not so tall and so it will be above the bumpers and not hanging down so far
Hover Jeep! Looked like mine last couple of weeks. I'm looking forward to seeing what you turn that parts pile into.
just a few more pictures of the rear 14 bolt truss
That truss is bitchin'. I assume you alternated sides welding as not to tweak the housing, right? I only ask because I know someone who made such a stupid mistake...
<--- this guy.
not my 37s but the wheels i will eventually be running (raceline monsters) im hoping on some 37 creepys for when taxes come in
***this is most likely not the final stance of what it will look like.. but should be close... i just was bored and mocking things up for fun****
just finished grinding all the *frame* rails of all paint and what not from front to rear.. getting ready to box in the rails with 1/8inch in the wheel wells and 3/16 in the middle to strenthen it up (and add a ton of weight)
im not looking forward to how heavy this jeep will be
Wow those are SICK.
Hm 6 lug. Those wheels off chris' or drew's buggy? It someone else's?
off of chris's buggy...
the start of some bracing in the rear wheel wells
Interesting - I like it.
solid axle inner C's have some beef
and the truss about ready to be burned into place..
All I've got to say is you better wheel the crap out of this thing when it's done because the drivetrain is going to be able to handle just about anything.
i gotta agree with cam on this one. this thing better get the everliving crap beatin out of it. i dont care how pretty it looks now.
lookin good though. cant wait to see it finished and on the trail.
i know i know
but ill have pictures up on monday just not much going on really...
got 99% of the frame plated up and grinding all the edges down was a lot of fun.... now getting the atlas mounted up and into place so that we can start getting a crossmember and some skid plates made and find out about how long the long arms will be..
also while everything is easy to get to i have replaced the water pump, thermostat, and spark spark plugs..
just slow cause tommy is building a new buggy for drew goldie.. and has to be ready to race at the end of march....
but ill have pictures soon
the plating is done finally
this is in the front wheel well all in 1/8inch
this is in the rear under the looking forward 3/16 was put in the middle
and the Atlas is mounted
Bad Ass.
as of sat. we made our 1st measurements
we got the rear axle on jack stands where it will be mounted... we pushed the rear axle back 3inches from the stock location
then we got measurements for our links.. and cut them at 35.5inches... with the jhonny joints on the ends they will be 38.5 inches center hole to center hole...
they will be tapped and back to us on tuesday..
and hopfully get the front axle where we would like it here in the next few days and get links cut for it too...
drew goldie and tommy have both now talked me into tubing the front fenders...
ill have wj fenders in perfect condition (the clear coat is chipping a little on the top of the driver side fender) for sale soon if anyone needs some

didnt get the creepy crawlers.. i want a 17 inch wheel and they dont make a creppy crawler in 17... soooo i went with the 37x12.5R17 maxxis trepador instead
rear bottom links are in
front axle is just about where i want it.. pushed forward about 2.5 to 3inches
Those rear lower links are the sex. You make em?
