ok well im not interested in the axle myself... i have a 14bolt but i was going to pick it up and sell it if i could make a little off of it but yeah i dont know if its worth al that hassle or not.....
but thanks for the reply thats what i needed to know
so back to my other question... would anyone be interested in it???
also a small update on my 14bolt im picking it up from being shaved on monday =) yay!!!! haha
yep got the 14 bolt shaved a little this week
got this ring to go around the cover made out if 1/8inch steel and i added a hole at the bottom of the ring so i could get a better seal
made a piece of 1/4inch steel to cover the hole and keep rocks from eating my ring gear
and this is it all mocked up before it is welded together
p.s.
that gives me just at 1 3/8inch more clearance than i had
How many bolts is that 14 bolt down to? Haha, looks great man. Can't wait to see some more pics.
it was down to 11 but added another so it has 12
correction... i had a miss count
there are still 13 bolts
so much for being in the middle of my build like i wanted but its still all coming together
i got 16 of these this past weekend
also got my 14 bolt back
this is the bottom where the 1/4 inch plate was welded on
that 1/8th inch ring that got welded on
the new cover
great thanks to tommy glen for doing the 14 bolt for me
do u guys know of any1 that has actually won one of those??? just curious. only thing i have ever won off one of those is another coke.
maybe its just a big marketing scam, screw pepsi. dr. pepper is the best imo
looks good , but i cant see any pics from the first page of the thread????
haha yeah i won another can one time also...but it was also 3 days expired so they wouldnt give me another drink.... and i think it is a scam
this is the pictures i have on the 1st page but my membership ran out i guess but this is all the other stuff that will be under the zj here soon...
parts needed:
-for the front 60 i need... cromo inner shafts, super u-joints, gears and over haul kit (which i am ordering on monday )
-for the rear disk brakes
-rear SWAY coilovers
and all my 4 links

That's some shiny stuff!
sure is
but im tired of looking at it just sit in the garage...
i think it is all junk, saying that i think you should send all of it to me on your dime for proper disposal!!!!
so one of the guys on pirate pointed out that my tube on the driver side of the front 60 is to short to be a 79' so i did some more research and found that he was correct its not a 79' its somewhere between a 88-98....
so i called the guy i bought it from and he seems to think its a 89 but cant be sure beacuse it was over a year ago and he has sold many others...
so this is a chevy axle housing but imagine its a ford.... this is all the numbers i could get off of it for the rest of it was to rusty when i got it..... is there anyway of finding out what year it is though these numbers
any help would be great thanks
You should have had your welder hit the tubes on the 14bolt while he had it.
That is the only weak point on that axle IMO.
that hp 60 is from somewhere between an\ 85 and 91.5 f350
yeah i think i got it narrowed down to a 89... and i think its going to end up working better for me anyways so i guess i lucked out a little there....
i also ordered my 35 spline cromo inner shafts and super joints today
yet to come
full hydro
and 14" SAW for the rear..... which ill be ordering in 2weeks... im still waiting on a set of coil springs that i ordered 2months ago!!! so i figure that i should go ahead and get the next set as soon as possible so that if they decide to take 2months for those to get here at least i will have them closer to my build time then if i wait till the time im ready to have them.....
has anyone else had this problem... apparently they are on back order??? so oh well... they get here when they get here... good thing im not in a rush yet
the shafts... ill be sending them out to Cali. for some mechine work to be done for 40% better turning more to come on that later.. so they will be boxed up and shipped out next week
yep so the u-joints are really nice and pretty bad ass if i say so
Thats how big the ujoint is on my super dooper bullet proof all titanium dana 30 is....so dont feel really cool
just for those that are following...
i ordered my 14inch SAW for the rear... im still waiting to get my front springs that i ordered 2 1/2 months ago ( apparently they are still on back order) so hopefully my rear ones wont take this long ...
sent off my dana 60 shafts to get some machine work done on them.. should be here in 2weeks
i also got 120' of tube in last week...
the build will be started on aug. 23 cant wait
