I wonder how good the BFG MT KM2s will be. My jeep still sees street miles and gets driven to every trail, so street driveability is a concern to me.
Yeah, I'm a pussy.
I was actually taking a hard look at the LTBs to replace my MTRs once they wore out, but not after seeing these comments. The MTRs have been good tires, and mine balanced awesome on the factory wheels. My worst balance required 1.5 oz, and the other 4 were less than that.
S/X's are a great sidewall tire, but they are EXTREMELY heavy because of it. balljoints and axle shafts are gonna go,alot.
I was waiting for the 35x12.50 LTB since last year. don't know if you all know that there was actually a launch date of last winter before they bumped it to February, then to april, now to june. not sure if it has something to do with the fact the LTB's are made in CHINA not USA like the rest of the INTERCO line.
because all SWAMPERS run so big, and I was tired of waiting, I decided a 36" wouldn't be that bad. I decided with the IROKS due to their weight of ~65Lbs, compared to the 36"S/Xs at 96lbs.
anyone wanna wager? - i say they move the date on the 35's to August '08
i think i just found my new tires i was looking for!!! yea is it july yet?
I bought the Maxxix Trepadors in 35's. They are great! ride nice on the road, hardly make any noise considering and are great in the rocks. Stu's Off road has a good write up on them. I paid 179 each from quadratec!

Any updates on who is carrying 35 inch LTB's and who's carrying them???????
These intrigue me. With the direction I'm planning on heading with my ZJ I'm not sure a bias ply is the way to go, but I really like the price and the off-road durability and traction. Now that the KM2's are coming out in more sizes though, I will most likely end up with them, unless something else comes along.
man yall sure do bitch a lot about your tires. its a trade off. it also depends on where you wheel. i drive my truck on the road with 38.5 boggers and a spool and it does not really bother me. i used 24ozs of this stuff in each tire with no other balancing http://www.oemcycle.com/Item/product/2846/
and the ride is fine. yeah the tires flat spot a little but gawddamn i do have the most aggressive offroad street tire made. if you want something that rides good get some bfs and bitch when you are pulling cable. you are not going to find a tire that grips like a whore on crack and rides like a nun in church. that is not the way it works. back on topic i would like to have some of the 40" ltbs.
so im prolly gonna go from 33s to 34s and looking to buy some LTBs. Im honestly a lot on the street theses days (god dammit) can they be that much worse then my TSLs on the road???
They are available!!
I saw the specs listed on Interco's website and saw a post on Pirate about someone buying the 35x12.5x17s. So I called the local Interco dealer to get a price on 35x12.5x15s -- $189/tire.
So who wants to buy my 33" TrXuS MTs??
