So I'm trying to search here for some information on dana 60s.
Only problem is that 60 is considered too short or too common and is ignored by the search.
I've tried the following searches and they all either return nothing or ignore the "60":
dana 60
"dana 60"
dana AND 60
'dana 60'
It returns 500 hits since it's really only searching for dana -- most threads are about 30s and 44s. Half of these seem to be about Cody bitching about how weak the dana 44 is .
Any suggestions?

Some people do put in d60 - that's not too short, is it?
You could also use Google to search the forum.
Try D60 or HP60. Other than that I think you'd have to sift through the bulk of what's out there. Did you try searching in Drivetrain only?
D60 definitely seems to work better. Thanks. I think I just had a brain fart on other ways to search for dana 60.
Searching in drivetrain with my original terms wouldn't really help, since I'm sure there are a ton of hits for non dana 60 stuff. Plus the info I'm looking for would probably be newbish anyways, so it might not be in there.
The info I'd be looking at would be in the jeep journals of those with 60s, which tend to be really long -- making it necessary to return posts instead of threads.
ok since you have no luck with the search, what are you looking to figure out????
Well, I can sort through the stuff easier now that I used d60.
I was mainly looking at the sizes of lifts people are running with dana 60s -- looking for any pumpkin clearance issues in the rear.
your planning on building it to need 60's?
That's what I'm trying to decide.
If you search for "60 axle" it will return threads first that contain both terms, then threads that contain only one.
2 character searches is pretty rough on the board/server to say the least. People have even called them dana "sixties" - this is where search takes a lil' brain power some times.
But hey, at least ours works
And as far as 60's go, I must give props to Pirate, you can not beat this link... I literally have it printed and bound...
