I'm at 6" of lift with my fenders cut to hell and I'm happy with how it works, I would say on a WJ 4-5" of lift would be min for 35"s without absurb bumpstops.

So does anyone think 33's with a 4" lift 15x8 rims with 4" bs be ok? 02 WJ 4.0 stock gears, discos, arb front bumper. Just a little trimming? Will I really be pushing the axles to there breaking point with 33's? or just go 31 or 32??? Thanks

You will want to regear with 33s on the 4.0. Just don't have a heavy right foot and carry spare shafts.

I ran 33's on all adjustable SA's with 4" of lift, 16x7" rims (285/75-16 TrXus MT's), 4.56 gears, D30, D44a for about 2 years. Only trimming was on the bumpers and inside of the wheel well.

Triming WJ fender method: in the Rustic Inn parking lot, 50 foot extension cord, harbor freight grinder, pre antique moments and three Fat Tires.

thanks Jeeptech, yeah i thought about messing with the dent but my whole driver's side is pretty thrashed from a run in with a tree a while back so i figured I'd just leave it.

As for the connecting the fenders, I used pliers to start bending the inner fender to where i wanted the final line to be and then hammered the outer fender in over it. Then I hit it with a hammer from the inside of the wheel well to bend the edges over one another.

the paint you see on there is dupli-color spray on truck bed coating...it probably wouldnt be very good for an actual truck bed but for my purposes it came out great

Hopefully that makes sense...its kinda hard to explain know that im typing it but the actual process is really easy.....just lots of BFH to make it smooth

you should weld that seam or use body panel adhesive. folding it over won't hold.

Exactly what rat said. I drilled holes for plug welds and used seam sealer to completely seal it up.

my buddy and i were working on his WJ and we took a few inches off. we also had to move the windshield washer reservoir because there was barely any plastic between it and the tire, and we were worried about hitting it and damage. anyone else had to do this?

yes, thats been done about a million times. I did what most people do and get a ZJ washer bottle and mount it in the engine bay. The WJ pumps and low fluid level sensor transfer right over. I have the 4.0 with a small K&N intake so i have plenty of room for it but if you have the 4.7 you may have to get a little creative\

$40 seems expensive to me IMHO...especially if you don't need the pumps. I think I paid $20 (shipped) for mine from some guy parting out his ZJ.

Depending on what year ZJ it comes from, the tank will be a different size. And depending on what year WJ you have, you can mount it in a couple different locations.

Hrm. Well its from a 97 ZJ and it is rectangular. For $20 its not really worth my time to sell esp since shiping will be $5-9 depending. So $30 shipped sounds good to me if anyone wants it.

I know this thread is old, but I went to a junk yard and paid $9.00 for a complete zj wind shield fluid resivor. Cut my front fender to the crease line. A 4" lift with long arms. Im currently running 255/75R17. Gonna stuff 33's under it later and I will not cut the rear fender, but instead I will bump stop the rear just enough so the tires are approximately 1/2" from the fender.

Looks nice. You'll be running a lot of bumpstop with 33's and no trimming in the rear. Are you longarmed f&r?
