I think im gonna try to make it this year, I have a few more things to do before its ready, but i still have time, as long as i can scrape up some cash. Hopefully job searching wont interfere with the dates.
FYI...
Also look into Summers Campground. It is about 5 miles out in the country, but it has been a wheelers campground for years. Lately, though, the owner/caretaker has been more of a PIA than a help.
The Attica Inn is basically a pole building that was turned into a hotel. Picture a prefab Super 8. It is in town, and the staff are friendly. Plenty of rig/trailer parking, and a mile to the park.
The Attica Hotel is great, but very old. Some of the rooms share bathrooms, but it is a great place, and they remodeled the bar a couple of years ago. Right in the middle of town, and close to the bars/restaurants/debauchery/Dresser bridge.
Campground at the park run by a great couple, and the rules are 'lightly' enforced. Have never had a problem with drinking/fires there, and you get to skip the LONG line waiting to get into the park in the morning, adding 30-60 minutes to your day.
I will fill in on the trails later, after I can confirm any changes that are to be made this year, but there is something for everyone.
Hasta.

I'd rather stay at the campground that's attached to the wheeling land, sooo much easier.
We should be there, and by we I mean the idiots on this video along with a purple zj. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6olqxpNZ1U8
I will likely be at the Hotel downtown.
For those with more money/taste, look into the Apple Inn.
EXCELLENT B&B with interesting rooms, hot tub, prepared breakfast, etc, and just blocks from the park.
Tim you get your heep done yet?
Well I was just thinking, maybe if Tim spent more time working on his rig and less time making threads about other people wheeling, it might get done. Guess I was just dreaming.
I'm still around, just lazy about posting. I'd be glad to do the shirts again this year, I just have to be sure I've got the weekend clear.
I'm out for this years gsmw now.. my gf hit a patch of black ice this morning and wrecked the mustang..
sorry,
Be careful with this black ice.. i almost flipped mine getting to her..
thankfully she is fine..
heres a picture till we go pick it up from the body shop...
Ok, break up, rent an apartment, save money, go wheelin', problem solved!!!!! I gotta start getting paid for good advice like this.
I hope thats not the GF in the picture in front of the mustang.
Meh, the fence hardly has a dent in it!
I no longer have a GF, and I suddently find myself with extra money, and extra time to go wheeling. IT KICKS ASS!
needs 3 new poles to hold the fence up.. not too bad.. the ford (imagine this) took most of the damage.. you know what murphey says: a $2000 tv will protect a 10 cent fuse.. and thankfully she buys parts for the jeep, pays some of the bills and loves wheelin. she had a blast at rausch creek..
you know there a keeper when they buy parts for the jeep..
We'll have to see what condition the heep is in come that time, and if I'm done with finals. I should be though. Then David can tow my jeep up there.
She's a psychologist. I'm me. WTF do you think happened?
There's a small chance she'll come this year, but we're not dating any more. The whole "she lives in Indy and I live in Pgh thing sucked," and besides, what kind of red blooded male can date a girl who likes her steak well-done?
got an estimate from the townships fence people... 1,032.03 for 20 ft of 10ft high chain link...
NUTS!
car insurance covers liability - why are you paying this out of you pocket?
