heres a link to Ebay for a u jointed front d shaft for the WJ,
i just use a stock XJ front shaft and had to swap out my d30 yoke and the yoke on the 247, this would be a much easier swap for ppl that are incapable of swapping yokes but still want a decent front d shaft

Uhh, did you miss the all caps section where the auction says "CANNOT BE USED ON VEHICLES WITH A LIFT KIT!!!"
Why would you buy a non-double cardan type driveshaft?
ahh because a stock front shaft from the stealership is over 700 bux????
just goto a junk yard.. my wj came with a u-jointed driveshaft... i'm sure you can just yank one from another wj
I wonder why though? I've noticed on some of their auctions they have that disclaimer and some they don't. If you can use the stock CV shaft on a lifted vehicle to a point I don't see why you can't use a U-joint type shaft on a lifted vehicle? Obvvvviously there is a limit, but I don't see a 3-4" lift hurting anything.
Hello all, I am coming over from www.jeepforum.com and joining this site also ..
Dont mean to bring this from the dead, but Im new to site and wont let me post my own thread. I have a 99 WJ and was wondering did anyone have a write up on how to put in the u-joint driveshaft from the CV style? And right? Lol. Thanks everyone
Look up Carolina Drive line they built mine $260 3 years ago. It was the first one they built for a lifted Grand and have made a bunch since. No vibe and 6"+ lift.

I have the driveshaft. I need to know to instal it
I have the CV style in my WJ atm.And I am wanting to replace it with a u joint style. I tryin to figure out how to replace the yokes in the TC and axle side. Im not sure how to install them both
I currently have the single double carden driveshaft, do I need to change either end of the yokes to be able to instal the multiple double carden.
yeah you ahve that POS CV, some came from the factory with that single double cardan you ahve now (mine for instance).
Mrgc, why do you want a multiple double cardan?
I have 6" lift and once I put the longarm the cast is at 1 degree and at that caster I get driveline vibes when I look at the driveshaft angle at the axle end its a pretty bad angle if adjust the caster more it would give me a worse angle and I bet more vibes, to confrim that the vibes are from the front I took off the front driveshaft and drove without it and no vibes.
So I am thinking the multiple cardan driveshaft would resolve this, did anyone have the same issue.
I build all my own driveshafts, but I have heard from very reputable sources that the Carolina Driveline guys are extremely knowledgeable and helpful.
...for what it's worth
Thanx for that getting a quote off them as we speak, Im hoping it solve the issues Im getting.
Did anyone have any tips on replacing the yokes on the TC end and axle end of my WJ? Going to install my u joint driveshaft but have heard on the axle end it is bad to use the air gun to re tighten the pinion nut. I have heard different stories but not really one that is certain. I have not done this before and just wanted a little help before I started into it. I know its just many bolts holding the front stock CV style shaft into place on the axle same as the TC end just a couple bolts. Any help would be awesome thanks all
Yea thats why everyone saying dont do it by impact gun. But some peolpe on Jeep Forum have done it and everything has been ok. But I would like more opinions. And a little guidance on how to tackle this task,
From JF so no one helps anyone out? Ok
