My look on it is. Only reason I would put a cage in my jeep is to make it so I don't die in a flip over on my roof. Once I roll it with a cage. The body (depending on how bad it was messed up) will be chopped off, cage will be trashed, zjuggy starts.

2000 isn;t that bad when you consider yoru tube woudl be around 700 and the bender woudl be around 700 with dies.

and thats for a manual bender which takes a long time!!!

my first cage was my Zjuggy. i did alot of learning.

i woudl suggest building it just for the learnign experience. and the fact that the cage someoen else will build will never be exactly what you want....and if i spent 2000 i'd want to have exactly what i wanted or at least the tools to make what i wanted.

I'm hoping for exactly what I want for $2000.
I've never had work done by this shop and the shop itself is fairly new. However the owner has been around Jeeps for the past 20 yrs and according to every one I've talked to, he really knows his shit. One guy went as far as saying I'd have the best cage in Ontario. So I guess we'll see.

One thing I did like about Jim vs the other shops I've gone to was the fact he took the time to get into my truck and take lots of measurements. Then he said he would design a cage (either on Bend Tech or Solidworks) and call me back with a price, that's where the $2000 quote came from. Even said how much raw stock was needed.
Most other shops just randomly pulled a number out the air when quoting me a price.
