We'll I figured I'd post up my Jeep here too. Most of ya'll know me from JF but I usually just lurk over here.
My Jeep, a 1993 Jeep Grand Wagoneer ZJ
Stock:
I lifted it with Kevin's 2" BB, RE Twintubes, OME Steering Stabilzer, and 31" Maxxis Buckshot Mudders:
Next came some recovery points, so I added Kevin's Radiator Support but modified it to use tow hooks instead of shackles:
Before the lift, I added replacement KC fog lights and then in July, I added KC 57 series off road lights:
I have also added a CB radio, fire extinguisher mount, Kevin's Sliders, and a little body damage. So far I've been to Tellico and Mt. Aetna and will be going to Windrock on the 20th.
And one last picture of how she sits now:
I've got a Aussie Locker coming for a soon to be swapped in D44a. I also hope to get some new wheels soon so I won't rub anymore. An exhaust should come soon and then next summer, I hope to have a 4.5" lift.
New stuff after Christmas.
Picked up a D44a. I'm installing an Aussie and then swapping it for my D35.
Yesterday, installed the Aussie and took out the D35. Left my Jeep looking like this last night:
Today, finished the axle up and installed it. Jeep is now back on it's own wheels:
Ran into a few issues along the way. Broke a couple of caliper mounting bolts and a brake hard line. Bolts are easy to fix but the brake line will be hard to fix. It broke right by the fitting so I don't know if I can fix it without getting a brand new line.
I will also need to get my driveshaft shortened and then once I do that, I will be back on the road.
Picked up my shorten drive shaft today. Much better then with the stock one. I'm now 99% percent done with my D44a swap. All I have left is to adjust my e-brake. I'm just being lazy.
Did a front to rear swap. Used RE front springs, Kevin's Front Track Bar Conversion, and JKS Rear Track Bar. I am still using the same RE shocks from my budget boost so I also got some JKS Bar Pin Eliminators but I have yet to install them.
its a fun classic look
Lookin good
great looking grand sir
Looks great.
Was able to test out the lift back on the 27th at a place South of Johnson City. Everything worked great and no more dragging on the transfer case skid all the time. Fun little trail plus it was free so that is always a plus. I have more pictures but I'm sure none of ya'll want to see that as those are pretty tame. But here is a video of a place that isn't too bad and I got to scare a guy so that was pretty funny.
Did you swap in 3.5" or 4.5" coils?
How's the ride at that height on stock arms?
Lookin good!
You need to move west Ben - you'd like it out here
pretty sweet wagoneer...i dig it.
An new/old update. Last fall, I took a fabrication class here at UT (yea, sweet ain't it? Learn to weld while getting a college education) and for my final project I built this storage box for my Jeep. Helps keep my stuff organized and out of the way while also blocks the stuff from sight. Just now got around to taking a picture.
Tried out no doors today and I'm hooked. Need to figure out a way to make it easier to get the doors on and off. I am not looking forward to putting them back on. Got more looks then usual too.
looks good man, i dig the wood for sure. I'm at UT as well, always nice to see another lifted grand around campus
