Well i got some more work done today.

cables for all the shifters came in.

    Doubler Linkage

D300 linkages (The mount will get a brace)

    all of them

Got one peice of the two peice drive shaft done.

    its a tight fit!

mocking up the clearance for the second peice and my links. Looks liek i'l be fine.

Rad fan mounts. I couldn't think of any other way to mount the Tarus fan. SO i came up with this. IF anyone have any better ideas please let me know

1/4" ready rod, nuts 1/4" and 5/16" flat washers and 1/4" locks.

    this is the rod assembled.
    nut->1/4" lock->1/4" flat washer->5/16" flat washer.

then i wrapped the whole thing in electrical tape to stop it from wearing through the rad core.

    installed in the rad core.

i did that in 4 places and then got the whole thing in the truck

Mounted! plus the power steering cooler as well.

What about wrapping that threaded rod with a piece of brass pipe and having it act as a sleeve to protect the radiator. Which would wear better than the tape and be a bit more stable. Just an idea.

Then a teflon or rubber washer to contact the outside of the radiator too instead of the metal flat washer.

Something that I noticed that i'm not sure about, aren't those power steering coolers supposed to have air running longways across them for higher efficiency? Even the way you have it i'm sure it will get decent flow, just dunno if you might be able to make it better.

I've given up all hopes of making it to GSW this year. Too much other shit hogging my money.

Looking good Kris. Can't wait to see it all skinned.

You'll be driving, what, 5mph in a buggy? You're more likely to have a stronger crosswind then one from the buggy moving forward.

the aluminum work on the buggy is almost done!!!!!! yayyy!! 1 more peice in the rear. Its square 24" x 24" so it shodul be quick.

i did skin the sides of the "trunk" area. all the aluminum has been removed in the rear. it has been cleaned and preped for the final install. so i can check that off my list.

The main reason for removing the floor was that someone put a deposite on my doubler/t-cases.

I just e-mail AA and i'm waiting to get a lead time on my atlas!!!

    ok here's the update.

The doubler and t-case have sold. So an atlas is in the mix.

Got some work on the skins today.

the side panels are 1/8" clear lexan it still has the protective film on it right now. WHen i'm ready for the final install i will have the red ricer window tint on the inside of them.

It would be cool if you did the side panels in steel with breaks in them that carry the fender lines down the side...
