The buggy is lookin rude man! Any reason for not doing a rear mount radiator? And are you thinkin about doing a rear winch for suckin the ass end in?

I've got to say, this is a thing of beauty. What's even more amazing, is that most builds on this board take FOREVER (no Dirk, not just you), and this thing is racing right along.

i had a bad incident with a radiator.

    http://www.boneshaker4x4.com/video/Ryan's%20video%20footage/rad%20go%20boom.wmv

there is a good pisibility i might end up with a rear rad once i try to fit a winch in there.

but for now we will see.

as for the build. i'm extremly mootivated to driver this thing. i've had a wheelin truck for 5 years and not having one is killing me.

    Whoa! How'd that happen?

I'm guessing you don't want a rear radiator because you don't want that happening right behind your head. Correct? This is kind of a dumb question, but why is it beneficial to have the radiator in the rear? I always figured in slow moving vehicles it didn't really matter.

The rig is coming along great. Can't wait to see more.

alot of buggies have the radiators in the rear because there isnt always alot of room under the hoods of those things, then you try to mount a winch and then there really is none. Heres how much room we got under the hood of our buggy. Either way you go, you got a bad ass look rig Kris

Looks slick! Could you mount the radiator behind the cargo area and in front of the fuel cell?

    Fuel lines done,
    Fuel filter Done
    MOUnted Orbital
    Mounted The hydro resevoir
    Mounted the pump
Mounted the 3 shifter handles, Front axle, rear axle, doubler

i got the tranny shifter all done. Took me abotu 3 ours. The proper cable for the 4l60E is 130$ and there is no way i'm sitting on my back on the ground at an auto wrecker this time of year. so i bought the B&M universal one. Custom brakets at both ends. I used the original ZJ shifter.

The 4l60E have one more gear position then the ZJ. I'm assuming Overdrive and regular drive. And the throw between park and revers is abotu 1.5 of the ZJ. so the whole shifter had to be modified for a longer travel.

i had to extend the park further worward, and add another shift gate for the 1st gear selection. I also ground down the gate between nuetral and reverse.

The console Aluminum work is done to.

    Pics will follow tomorrow.
