Some shots of the first pre-run.
Our trail guide for the day is in the teal YJ.
A few other pix of the Sedona area trails:
Yup! What he lacks in finesse he tries to make up form in heavy right foot. Bouncing up a loose rocky slope was going OK until he got to a 2.5 ft ledge near the top. He was sideways here on a ~30 deg. slope. He was waaaay too close to rolling down that hill (about 100 yds long). The strap was to keep him from rolling as he 3 point turned at the top of the hill (he couldn't get it up)
A few more..
and a few more.
See you in October!
Man, I wish I could go.
I need my lift soon...
Maybe I can catch next years...
WOW!!! That one section where Matt is all tippy looks interesting. How did your rig do thru that part Kevin? Maybe it looks worse than it really is.
I'm trying to work my schedule around so that I can come down and play with you guys for GSSW. Is there a formal Reg page or do you just show up?
Looks fun! I would love to make it down that way for some wheeling.
Hey there, Bill. I do hope you're able to come...you'll really enjoy it. I think that shot was taken at the end of Greasy Spoon, IIRC. I don't remember anything that was overly tippy, so I think that was more of the angle of the shot than the angle of the trail, or maybe he got a bad line at it. I was bringing up the rear, so I missed any tippy-action.
Kevin
Wow, those look like some really cool trails and nice scenery, but it will have to be next year after 33's and having vacation time at the new job.
