I blew my spider gears outta my 35, got a lunchbox for 150 bucks, so i figured id polish a turd for a while. now the 35 is about to explode locked in 33' and i got an alum44 with matching gears cheap enough to be worth picking up. I was justwondering if D35 calipers and rotors will bolt onto the alum 44 without modification.
thanks
Newie tech, but yes they will work on the D44.
They appear to. I compared my D35 calipers to D44a calipers and they looked identical, different part numbers though.
awesome guy. thanks. i compared them too and they looked identical but i went to a few auto part stores n they all ahd diff numbers and none had pieces they could take out and show me so i was a little leary. i shouldn't be putting in another shitter... but its a dd right now n i got no choise :-( lol. thanks tho
THEY WILL WORK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I just DID THIS ON MY 93!
so this would work the other way then right? im buying a 5.9 that has a bent tube and i have a d35 that i want to put the disk brakes on. they would be closr to the same strength right?
wanna know whats funny? the brakes for my 8.8 where the same as my d35, different part numbers though
so does anyone know if those are backwards compatable?
All are backwards comp.
Have you still not done this yet?
We answered this awhile ago.
hard to do when i go tomorow to get the 5.9. was thinkn they were but i hate to tear one/both apart and have nothing to go back in. especially when one needs drug up out of the yard to work on it. i knew the axles themselves would swap, i just wanted to make sure the brakes were the same way.
