Tried the hard line going up Wipeout Hill today, sheared the front output yoke on the t-case . . .
THEN on the way out I managed to completely destroy two BFG's and one of my wheels . . .
And of course Pam's ZJ is at home, so we're rigless for the time being. Looks like I get to ride bitch or go rent a JK and break that or something.
Actually, I can take the heat off of Dave and Kevin by being the first of todays run by breaking down on the start of Seven Mile Rim with having a broken rear lower CA bushing on the stock arm of the lifted Rubi I rented to do trails with this week. Tom and the group were nice enough to let me run with them, but 20 minutes into the trail and on top of the shelf road and the end of the chitty LCA opened up and the rear axle moved foward on me and the tire started to rub enough to be of concern.
My thanks to Tom, Sandy, Ron, and a few others that lent me support, some wrenches, a winch and a strap to move the axle in place enough to get a Zed-Jay LCA into place to get me off of the trail. And I'm SURE somebody will post pics of the TJ being sretched by a couple of ZJ's, so be patient folks!
Stock TJ LCA's BRING TEH SUCK!!!!!
John
So Cody was nice enough to let us take his rig on Spider today since he was riding with Brian. Yeah. I broke his shit too, lol. But it went back together much easier. One the LCA bolts was loose and it pulled itself out of the bracket and made some cool noises.
