    Sup all

got to trimming the fenders today, so I can start actually flexing the rig. Once I'm don I'm gonna take it to my buddies shop to hit up his RTI.

I am working with IRO to get rear LA for the rig. Should have it in the next few weeks then off to hollister for a shakedown run. Then hopefully up to tahoe for a real wheeling trip. Man it's been a while, having the second baby has REALLY cut into jeep time

Here is the preliminary pic before I go back with a fringed to clean it up. I have been using a angle grinder and jig saw. Both work but I'm going to get pops sawzall to do the rest. Probably would be easier if I had the tire off but time is short.

    Hello,

Finally got my ass back to the shop and flexed out the rig. Felt good to get it up on the RTI and see what it can do. I definately learned I NEED bump stops. I could have maxed out the RTI but the tires were into the fenders.

Are you still happy with the iro tierod flip? IIRC you can run that without flipping the dl right? Its been a while since I read your build and I cant remember your reason for flipping it. Tks

Sorry for the lag. Yup still loving the IRO Flip. I didnt need to flip the DL but did so for the extra travel and I had some rubbing on the TRE so I flipped the DL.

Just got the Rear LA in the mail.

Should have the install this weekend and a long awaited wheeling trip.

Cool dont forget to post some pics! The rubbing on the tre was from the iro kit or b/c the tre was out of travel and the ball was rubbing the edge of the socket?

Will do. I am doing a beta test on these so there will be a writeup in the next few weeks with pix.

The rubbing was because my tre was shot and had too much play. I figured I would flip it at the same time. Looking back I would not have flipped it, in theory I would have a little less bump steer, but its all good I am on 35's and 6".

Yea with that lift height I would assume its a good idea to flip the dl anyway. Thanks for answering all my ?'s.

    Sup all,

So I have been busy, work, 2 kids, wife and Jeep have take up most of my time. I have been working with Iron Rock Off Road on a beta test of their NEW rear long arm setup. It is a fully adjustable high clearance lower Control Arm. It also has an adjustable upper A-Arm at the axle side with a Rubicon Express end. Now for some pics.

As a side note, these arms are the correct bend but I accidentally received the ZJ ones which were backwards from the WJ ones. On the WJ the RE end is on the axle side but the adjustable end is on the frame side.

Started to install at pops house but after installing one bracket and trying to install the arms realized something was not correct. Luckily Josh was there on Saturday and we figured out that I had the wrong arms. So put it back together and they shipped out the WJ arms.

Here are a couple of the initial pics from pops house. I have the Rocky Road Sliders, which are stellar. But wont work with the IRO brackets. Not sure about Kevins sliders so that is something to take into consideration when talking to IRO about the upgrade.

I had to pull the sliders. I am working on them now to get them re installed.

So pulled the bracket and went home. Restarting back at home, in the carport, with the correct arms.

Bracket on the driver side all bolted up.

On the passenger side you will need to cut the exhaust before installing the bracket. So I would suggest checking out the exhaust people in your area before you start and have an appointment because its LOUD w/o a muffler.

Having no power in the carports I had to be a little ingenious.

I wonder how the rear A-arm style set up IRO uses compares to claytons. It would be neat to use claytons front arm setup with this IRO rear set-up.

Here is the passenger side to show clearance.

Installed the lowers and was installing the brackets for the upper A arm.

After looking at the pics I realized I am an idiot and had the arms in upside down and backwards.

I pulled the spring and checked for bumpstops.

I pushed it back too far and realized I need to raise the tank.

I have the Currie High Pinion so I will have to trim a bit from the bracing to maximize uptravel.

The mount I had designed originally for the upper factory A-Arm was 1/4" plate but with the new geometry forced the most outer edge down towards the pinion. So I am having it reworked. I will have more pics in the next couple days.

Well the lack of side to side adjustment is the main difference. There are two holes you could shift it to the left or right. But its not minute adjustment.
