    UMMM Sure.

On that obstical, with his 32's and 3" lift and shorter wheel base he had more clearance and a better breakover angel. Where as my 4" with 30.5's I had less clearance. I did fine, and got way better flex with my adjustable ca's but clearance is clearance.

    Thanks for the comment

    Hey Grand,

Thanks! Just put on some 4.5" RK springs so I need to put up some new pics.

AS for the flip, little difference. Its actually better because my oem TR were shot. And after flipping the DL the geometry is a little off and I get minor bumpsteer. The TR flip from IROR uses hemi joints which were nice and easy and didnt require any welding.

That was Strawberry Pass. Its only a few miles from Kirkwood snow mountain in Nor-Cal. The first 1/2-1/3 is no challange, more or a dirt road with some minor obstacles. But great camping spot with a killer view of Caples Lake and the snow mountain accros the way. The second 1/2-1/3 is definatly more technical. There was a rock squeeze that is awkward and tippy. And a couple rock gardens and one Very tippy spot. I hear a guy hit it and his roll meter hit 30. All in all very fun and a great location because it drops you off on HWY 50 which takes you back into S. Lake Tahoe.

Yeah, I'm stoked and bummed about the decision at the same time. I'm stoked I only paid like 400 for all 5 MTR's and I didnt have to regear and I still get ok mileage. I'm bummed for obvious reasons. I will be replacing my axels with the JK's D44's in the not to near future and at that point will be swapping in 33-35's.

Nice wj,looks like it keeps growing.I plan on doing the jk44 swap soon to.Have you figured out how to make the electric lockers work,i guess they have a low voltage pulsed signal to keep them engaged. That is the only problem i see in the swap.

Yeah i need to stop spending money on lift and start focusing on axels and some LA's.

Sounds like your closer than I in the JK swap. I was talking with the guys from Iron Rock Off Road and they are currently producing a JK44 with all the braketry for the WJ... He was saying that they are hoping to have it for sale by the end of the year. You might want to give Josh @ IROR an email as I am sure they have the answer to getting the locker working and can either give you the answer or get you the parts necessary to get er done..

Speaking of lift here are the 4.5"RK springs vs. the ome/bb.

Here are the before & After front wheel well shots.

And here are the rear Wheel Well before and after shots.

The front is just about the same, just a little taller.

The reason I got these springs was because I wanted to compensate for all the Shit I keep in the rear and the sagging it was causing. It was hanging me up so after I installed the rear I checked it out and it was still sagging so I jacked it back up and put the rear BB back on and it now has the tilt like from the factory.

Now I can walk under the rear hatch and I dont crack my head on it. The new measurements are 21.5" in front (from wheel center to fender lip) and 22.25" in the rear. I'm diggn it.

Oops yea I meant heim, I think my computer auto fixed it. There are pics in 17 & 18...

I have heard both arguments on the use of them. Fact is I know multiple people who have them on their rigs and have had NO issues. This is only the TR which is a L to R function and no 3D movement. As long as I keep an eye on them making sure they arent loosening up there good. Its on a check list along with the 100 other things on my rig that need to be routinely inspected...

So the JK axle is wide enough for a WJ? I thought about that when the 44's came out from Mopar, good to know, and keep me in mind when you go long arms with those shorts you got... (-:

Yup their even wider than the WJ axels. If memory serves me on wjeeps.com is sais that our axels are around 59" wide. The new JK44's are 62" wide. So with the wider axels and a good rim tire combo you could really widen your stance.

But I am at least a year away from that step. Babies are EXPENSIVE....

The jk axles are a little over 2" wider than a wj,even if you wanted the stock width you could make that up with wheel backspacing.I like being a little wider when you go taller.

Not to get into your cock measuring contest, but they are 63.5" WMS to WMS. Don't take our word for it though. Get a tape measure and find out yourself.

No shit. But everytime you try to correct someone to help out, some kid with a Jeep mommy bought him makes some dumbass comment. I was just trying to point them in the right direction.

The JK's are not 2" wider. They are 1.5" shorter.

    I deleted my other post.

WJJEEPIN, if you are seriously interested in the JK's, they can be had for relatively cheap ($2800 plus freight). The set listed on Pirate come with JK brackets but I am sure Clayton would be willing to get the correct brackets out quickly.

    http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showp...60&postcount=1

    Good luck.
