Wow I miss a few days and shit hits the fan...

Yup I was off. That is why I said about. No worries either way, either rim offset or wheel spacers could squash the difference.

As for the price of $2800 that is CRAZY steep... I did a few searches on google and found them for over 1K less.

    http://www.leeparts.com/jeep_wrangle..._assembly.html

Plus I am a ways off from this. I just really like this option because it will allow me to keep the stock gauges and just wont be as involved as going w/ a different axle. But hey, who knows what the next couple years will bring.

Thanks for all the compliments. Enjoy the day!!!

the JK's, they can be had for relatively cheap ($2800 plus freight). The set listed on Pirate come with JK brackets but I am sure Clayton would be willing to get the correct brackets out quickly.

    Hey AW,

I REALLY want to LA the bitch... I met Wonder371 and picked up a stock wheel from him. I saw the pics of his rig in your garage on the racks getting surgery. I defiantly am going to shoot you a PM when I got there. But $2K for a LA set is just not in the cards at the moment..

Do you get on or know any of the guys from BayArea4x4.com at all?

Thats not bad then. But the link I put on there says free shipping on any order over $100. Who knows. Again a ways off but it and LA's are definitely my next step.

Oh and on WJJEEPS they call for the Track width as 59.5"

    http://wjjeeps.com/dimensions.htm

The track width on pirate for the 44's are 61.9

I guess when i rotate tires next weekend I will get out the tape measuer and kill this beast....

Track width is from tire center line. Your WMS is not in the middle of the tire center line. Wheel backspace would factor in for WMS if your using this route to measure.
I'm still waiting on the inexpensive shit to break!!!

Well based on that logic then how are they measuring the D44 Axles? They say track width when describing lengths of both the WJ & JK axles but that is w/o tires on it. And isnt WMS stand for Wheel Mounting Surface? Which means the from one rotor end to the other?

Well when I take off the tires I will measure the WMS on the WJ and get back with an exact measurement.

    Howdy,
Sorry it took so long to chime in on your thread. Your jeep has progressed since we met. Looks good. Even better than mine (cause you actually wheel it!). I know im still a pussy. I'm actually just really busy. Trying to afford the Bay living right now and schooling.

But snow has fallen and I vowed that i would do a little more to the jeep upon snowfall. Tires, Brakelines, Shocks, Locker, and Gears... are in the very near future. Deciding on Tires (somesort of M/Ts either 33s or 35s), MX-6R shocks & put my order in for the aussie locker will get 4.56s installed with it.

So you and MBATF have to pop my wheeling cherry. Jeep looks good homie, even if not wheeling we should meetup... just to say whats up. Congrats on the new addition to the family too!

Thanks for stopping by. Yeah I would be down for a beer meetup or we should get MBATF and hit up Hollister one weekend.

How is the Real Estate thing going? I too have changed jobs, as if the baby thing wasnt hard enough , and am in the Commercial RE business. Assistant for now but am about a month from my license and a few from changing to agent. I feel ya on the Bay life, SHIT AINT CHEAP!!! Wife and I bought a condo and about a year later popped one out = no money for my jeep. That is why I tried to get it up and ready before he was born, still have a ways to go.

Sounds like a good plan for the WJ, if you need any extra hands with the work let me know, always enjoy getting dirty.

Real Estate is doing really well for me actually. I have been a licensed residential assistant for like 3 years now. My folks are also kinda in the biz too. Its been treating us all well.

However, I like nice things (apartments with bay views, 13mpg/the jeep, snowboarding, drinking, gambling/vegas/tahoe, clothes/shoes, eatting out, & girlfriend) all cost too much $$$. The jeep has always been on the back burner. Now im gonna do another little set up upgrades. Im down for hollister. I have a 4 runner buddy who's dying to get out there too. Let me know... keep me in the loop.

That might just work. Let me see what I can finagle with the wife. SHIT I spoiled her for xmas so she owe's me... Ill PM you guys with the outcome...

Oh, to keep this tread going, I got a lifetime alignment at firestone and MAN what a difference!!! Still have a little bump steer but all in all were gravy. The fucktards put my DL Pitman arm side adjustment bolts pointing down so it hit and dented my SS, whatever... But the #'s I got from Arlo's suspension thread on JF for my adjustable CA's put it exactly at 4.5% caster. As a FYI for those interested in lengths.
