Is there a hack that gives senior members a "ban user" button so that if so many senior members press it for a particular user, it automatically puts them on permaban?

If not, can I be a moderator?

It should be there, just click on their username and at the very bottom of the list is "Ban User" - works great

ok what if instead of a permaban button for non admin access, what if this magic button existed and it could create a short temp ban on a member (usually a newb) and you admin guys could still have the permaban power.
This way the board might not get all outta shape when you admins are away.

How about a ban button where if more than 10 senior members click it, the person is banned for 24 hours.

That way if you get some asshat newb running his mouth we can atleast shut him up for a bit until you permanently can his ass.

No, no, no no and no.

Maybe people should get their panties out of a bunch, then you wouldn't need a ban button.

Matt and Dave, if we "report" a post, do you actually look at it? Or is that a feature that vBulletin has but is never used?

I get an email if you report it, but sorry, if I'm not at a computer I just don't care (read: out wheeling, wrenching, getting laid, etc.)

The "Report Post" button does definitely help, because there's no way in hell Matt and I can read every single post on this board.

The report button actually emails all of the Mods so we can all take a look. With as much as I am on here I still can't read everything.

But if you PM me it emails me at my office so I get practically instant notification then I can react quickly to an issue.

Reading through some of the recent posts is supporting the need for a ban button for the regulars. Maybe if I ask REEEEEAL nice. Please? Pretty please?

Yeah, there's some real fucktards around here lately. Some of them have been members for a little bit, but haven't been around heavily until recently. More than likely they're NAGCA regulars.
