I've got an '01 WJ Ltd. w/ QD. I'm still throwing around different ideas for lift/tires and such. What I'd like to do is IRO 3" and 32's or 33's(yes, i know much fender trimming and bumpstops will be neccessary. I'm ok w/ this.) The jeep is my daily driver, but still gets wheeled a significant amount. I don't mind regearing the diffs, but is it possible to simply lower my low-range gear in my TC??? Sure i could go w/ some Atlas Wonder, but college isn't paying so well, if you know what i mean. Even w/ only 245/75/16 MTR's, i feel that the gears are not low enough at times w/ steep descents. Thanks for the help. I'm not sure how unrealistic or difficult this may be.

I doubt any kits are available to make the 247 tcase have a lower range, and even for cases where it's available, it's still not cheap....in the $700-$800 range IIRC.
Fortunately, we're not getting nearly as much government control as we're paying for.

If you can afford to shorten you rear drive shaft you could get a crawl box. Its basically putting another planetary reducer in between your trans output and transfer case. Go over to Pirate4x4 and search BoxForRocks.
