Here are some pictures as requested. Let me know if you have questions.

Front axle side (RE upper, Tera joint lower)

    Front Frame side (Tera joint)

    Rear frame side lower(Tera joints)

Upper and lower rear frame side

Rear axle side uppers, 8.8 bridge (thanks chadjans) (summit machine joint)

Hang down (a little further than I'd like but so far hasn't proven to be too much of a deal)

it's not as bad as it looks. It's Tera's LCA brackets and lower arms and then we did the uppers custom. It works and it was cheap.

shit no. Good friend. He built the suspension on my buggy too.

Once I sell all the parts off of the short arm lift I'll only be into this like 600 bucks.

Did you end up reusing the tabs on top of the truss or did you have to redo / relocate?

I used the tabs on the truss. I had to go buy some different joints so they would fit correctly but no big deal.

Those Tera joints are pretty bitchen. I'll probably use them again whenever I get buggyey again.

I know those tera joints are not thought of very highly on pirate. I remember seeing a picture of one where the cage tore away front the thread shank.

I know they went through a ton of R&D on them before they came to a final design. Lots of experimentation with compounds and stuff. Even the most adimant tera haters that I know think they turned out pretty good.

Not sure about the POR oppinion--maybe that was the r&D stuff? Lots of local guys run them and nobody has a bad word to say about them around here. I can tell you that looking at the pieces of one compared to the Summit Joints (same joint RE uses) it's a night and day difference on which one is built better (tera).

What kind of unibody reinforcement are you running? Also where did the control arm brackets come from? Looks good, but I wanna see MORE!

Looks good Cody! I take it the Tera joints have the stud cast / welded to the cage?

I have a quick hi-jack question for you - What are you doing about your steering? I seem to remember you had something up your sleeve, but I don't recall ever seeing you say anything else about it.

I'm curious to see what you will go, or went with.

So basically you modified Tera's LA kit for the ZJ's to the way they should've done it in the first place? Sweet!

The cage and stud are 1 piece. I'm not sure if it's machined from a solid chunk or if it's cast. I can find out for you.

Nothing fancy. I'm either going to buy Currie's setup or buy all the TRE's that I need (ES2233L (has hole for drag link), ES2234R, and ES2026R,ES2027 for the draglink) and do a 1 ton version of what it is now. I'll probably go with the currie setup so I don't have to mess with reaming anything.

So basically you modified Tera's LA kit for the ZJ's to the way they should've done it in the first place? Sweet!
Ya basically. I guess they've only sold like 2 of the ZJ LA kits which was pretty clear when we got into it and the brackets didn't really fit. They had to be modified to fit--which wasn't too big of a deal. I would like to have sleaved the unibody and tucked the rear LCA's up a bit, but for as hard as this rig will be wheeled and for the amount of time and money into it, I think it turned out pretty well.

Interested, but its not a life or death question. Just wondering for possible future applications

That sounds like a recipe for an inverted-T setup. I was kind of expecting something a little more umm.... earth-shattering from you. You're slipping dude.

Thanks for the info man. Again, the LAs look nice. I don't think the clearance looks all that bad either.

I finally broke my D30. Apparently locked d30's will blow up shafts and joints eventually. I never tacked the caps in or ever greased the joints for that matter. Passenger side toasted. good thing I have a spare set. Rig looks good. I assume your front axle is Chads as well??
hp30, 8.8, long arms, chevy steering, 6" lift, 35 mtrs, 231, locked SOLD
