Thanks I will take as many as I can goona be a few weeks before I can get over there to do it.
Munny you should def plan on going then also I would love to check your WJ out.
been a while, but may I ask what you paid for the pair? I'm sizing up some options and I was curious what you paid considering you thought you would have spent about the same to buy the parts and build them yourself.
the reason I ask is, 2 new rubi axles can be had and swapped now
yeah, we are planning on going wheelin THIS SUNDAY!
We are meeting at the Krispy Kremes at the Tacoma Mall at 8:00am, sunday the 29th...in a few days from now. PM me if you are coming so I will know to expect you.
So who got the video?
Looks like a good time, too bad about that U-joint, Sorry I didnt make it Dub, I pulled the pucks on my rig saturday sittin at 6". I didnt get to trimmin Sat. night so my fenders would of chewed my 35's to hell.
30min! that sucks brother, i gotta bust ass on my rig this week for EJS next week. When I get back lets get together and check out Reiter.
Hey Josh- how long did it take you to get home?! That was a crappy start to the day, that climb claimed to grands! The rest of the day was great, I did the rock garden for the first time....I just ordered a locker for me rear, bumper is coming along good, sliders are up next. When are you making that rear bumper? I am going to make me rear one once I finish my front, which should be friday..
it took a little while only cause the wait for my buddy and his trailer to come all the way down there. but it wasnt to bad, I would say it was worth it. nice are you getting the aussie? I had it in my 44a and a arb in my 30 before putting in my new axles you will love the amount just a rear gives you. ya I want to see that bumper your making maybe put some pics up there. the rear design I have for now needs to be transfered into auto cad, I am waiting for some time to go to my dads house to do that, he has auto cad at his house and he can send it down to his shop and have all the pieces blasted out on there lazer table, so it will make putting it together a breeze.
you let me know if you want to go on another run and I will try and make it the whole day.
thanks again for letting me tag along, it was real nice to meet all you guys. you have my number so if you come up this way give me a shout.
Here are some pics of the bumper so far. I have to weld on the top filler piece that will go from the outside top and tuck up towards the headlights/grill area. Then it is going over to get Line-X'd.
nice that looks pretty good. did you build that?
I finally raised my gas tank today.
and I at the same time found out that I cant weld for shit
Nicely built WJ.
Looks like you need a new rear bumper.

very nice !! are you going to weld something to cover that big ol hole ?
ya I need to pick up a sheet to put in there but I havent got off work in time to get one before they close.
1/8" works good. And at the same time you can weld some brackets for a heavy duty cable strap so your lunch box doesn't flip over...or for hauling stuff
I'd also suggest some torsional bracing for the frame back there. The frame and body flex a whole lot more on mine after doing the tank tuck. I did not brace it, but now the rear hatch contacts my (custom) bumper and has deformed a bit under hard flex.
I stitch welded 1/8" plate into mine, but I actually opened up the hole into a big rectangle that stretched from like 3/4" inside of each frame rail, the metal there is doubled up and pinch welded for the frame rail so its easy to weld to and strong. I havent noticed any flexing of the body yet, but only time will tell.
check out my build thread for detailed pics if you care.
ya I will check it out, I was thinking I needed to do some bars from the frame rails.
so I finally got ove to the old mans house for the bumper build this week.
3/16th plate should do. doing brackets tomorrow and paint next week but for now I think it turned out pretty good.
What do you guys think?

I really like the lines of that. Alot of wj rear bumpers turn out chunky.

here's my design im going to start working on:
