I am about to put my first lift on my WJ. I was going to go with a LA 4 inch to start but from your pictures I may have to save a bit more and add to the lift height.

Ya if I were you it is easier to just go all the way. and honestly 4''s doesnt give the wj the stance it deserves.

78-79 D60's are the most popular but not for D44s from F-150s. 78-79 D44s have the cast on radius arm mounts compared to welded on mounts of the earlier D44s.

This site has a lot of good info on the front D44s.

I just realized that you live in WA state! Marysville, I am down in Tacoma. Do you ever come down this way? It would be fun to meet up, there are not many WJ's around here to go wheeling with and hang out with- mostly cherokees and wranglers.....

I noticed you had trimmed your front fenders, I just did that as well. I am thinking about
trimming the rears tomorrow, any reason NOT to do this? I am going to be doing this and a gas tank tuck.

thanks man, I have never been on the trails down that way, I have been wanting to take a trip over to tahuya soon though, but would like to go with someone that knows the trails, if ya know we should hook up sometime and make a trip.

as for the fender trimming I did both front and rear of mine to fit the 37''s but mine is not that good looking any more. and I still need to do the gas tank tuck myself.

Ya, I have been on the trails out there a few times, about 3 times now and know them pretty well. It would be great to meet up and go out there. My buddy with an XJ on 4.5" of lift, him and I are heading out there next saturday, the 28th- want to come?

I did the rear fender trimming yesterday, and might tackle the gas tank tomorrow, MIGHT, not sure yet.
