On the way into the woods because my brother told me he was stuck.

It was definitly a tight trail, probably for quads. I was sliding into trees left and right. There was no way I was going to be able to call a bigger truck if I couldn't pull him out.

Haha, Yea. Just a little stuck.

Nice Clearance for 33's to bounce around going through trails at 30+mph

Anyway, I got stuck trying to get to him, so the other XJ there pulled him out after he pulled me out, but then he got stuck pulling my brother out, eventually I pulled him out and he made another successful attempt to retrieve my brother's XJ.

I used to have nights like that... took us an entire night in Wellsville one time playing musical vehicles. We could never ALL stay unstuck at the same time, it was just funny.

ha yea, that is pretty much how it went. the 5150's btw are pretty badass. They seem to make 25mph uneven roads feel very..um..bouncy? But I love them.

????

What are the ride characteristics like? lots of body roll or minimal and stiff handling?

Also, who did you get them from and what valving did you use

I've had nights like that two. 6hrs of winching my buddy's XJ through mud to get him off the trail. Mud didn't look bad at all till some weight got on it then it just sucked you down. Almost had to start winching people out ahhahahaha....

Then driving home at 4am with 4" of water on my floor boards and no doors on in a bomby 10*C......ah....I love off roading...

haha sounds like me again last night. all I have to say is I can't belive what these xj's/wj's are capable of. We were mowing down trees, going through quad trails and shit. I went through this one crossing and hit it so hard that my two front tires went up in the air almost verticle! awsome awsome.

btw...they are valved 255/70, and yes, lots of body roll on the road, but AWSOME offroad. I got them used from some guy for pretty cheap. You can find certain sites that offer them for 99 dollars a shock though.

ive also gone through that. the last time some idiot decided to take his 2WD 4Runner mudding... got stuck so he called a wrangler to come get him out. appears the wrangler was missing its front driveshaft so it too got stuck. so then he called me, i went to help and realized i wasnt going to be able to pull him out (he was stuck at the bottom of a steep hill and my zj was still stock with bald ats). anyways we called a Z71 with 35s to help and he too got stuck. so while i was pulling this guy out, another Z71 with 33s came along and guess what... he got stuck too. so after i pulled the first Z71 out we both went back to retreive the 4Runner, the Z71 was able to get it up the hill and i pulled it the rest of the way out. but about the second Z71 and wrangler, we had to call for another wrangler (35s, locked, and with a winch) to come help. he was able to winch out the Z71 some of the way, i did the rest. and then somehow found the first wrangler and dragged him out all the way. this whole event lasted about 8hrs... i believe the last wrangler was pulled out around 2am.

although it was a long ass night, it sure was a lot of fun.
