Tom Z, Matt and I met at the trail head at 10am. We got in front of a large group, so with no one in front of us, we made good time.
This trip it took a while to get across French Creek, the last trip we flew across. We made it to Holy Cross city by 1:30pm. Had a nice lunch. It was a very sunny and warm day. We kept wondering where the big group behind us was. Later, a lone Jeep came up the trail and he said "they broke a lot of stuff" crossing French Creek.
I wanted another try at Cleveland Rock (see pics below). This time I made it without winching!:D
Drove to the end of the trail, then we all hiked to the lake. After we got back from the lake, the big group arrived at Cleveland Rock. We watched the buggies make short work of the rock, then we headed back down, once again in front of them. A great day with blue sky and no waiting for the obstacles.
Matt has a bunch of pics, so post them up!
