Alright,

I'm looking for a good set of Snap ring pliers, these are basically for T-case work and anything else I can use them on. Preferably I would like a convertable set that does internal and external. Here is something that I have found.

http://www.toolsource.com/ost/product.asp?sourceid=googleautotools&dept%5Fid=500&pf%5Fid=89628&mscssid=K63XM34X15DW9HTM124NDS575JWM2S82#

I always have really good luck with Snap on tools are these better?

http://buy1.snapon.com/catalog/item.asp?P65=&tool=all&item_ID=12020&group_ID=3578&store=snapon-store&dir=catalog

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Dave

holy crap that is $$ I got mine for $15 at autozone with lifetime warrenty and it has changeable tips of 3 different thicknesses that can mount at 3 dif angles, and my expansion snap ring pliers are snap-on but I don't remember where I got those..

I have craftsman...seems like the usual compromise...cheaper than snap-on but still decent quality

Bingo. I swear by em. Anybody else that has used them will too. The brand is "OEM", carried by autozone. You'll never need another set.

For external lock ring (not snap ring) pliers, the NAPA brand ones are good and the Snap-On ones are great.

I like the Snap On's personaly. I think Snap On has my nuts for like the next 15 years, but they sure are nice tools.

Check out the Craftsman 3pc Professional set model number 30359. I've had the Craftsman Professional model number 30354 for years (and are no longer available) and they have always worked well.
