We just got back, had a blast yesterday. Our pics will be up soon. The camping last night was pretty good, mostly overcast though so we didn't get to see the stars very well. As we were breaking camp this morning it started sprinkling a bit, and rained pretty good down to Fairplay and to roughly Grant. We were going to run Twin Cone today, but decided against it with the inclement weather.

...and my transmission sucks ASS!! The damn thing started leaking again, its back in the shop and he promises to have it back for Holy Cross next weekend, so he better come through on that.

edit: also think I may have bent my rear drive shaft in moab and this trail may have exacerbated that problem, nothing like driving from Breck to Fort Collins at 50-55 MPH to keep it from vibrating to pieces

The 2nd Obstacle. I had tried running the V without a spotter and found it is a bit harder than to do spotter-less than the Wedgie!! Ended up having to get strapped out.

Nothing like a few inches of hail on the ground

It was kinda cool to see the waterfalls going underneath the snow drifts

Cool waterfall on the way down

This is where we camped. Pretty cool spot. About 100 yards away from the trail with a little trail to drive down there. The creek that flows through that whole valley was probably 20 yards from the campsite.

I noticed that at GSW. Sounded like your torque converter was trashed. Maybe it was just low on fluid?

Verlan, trust me as soon as I am done with school I am moving out of the south possibly to Colorado. Definatley looking for a change of pace.

I had it rebuilt less than 5k ago, now it leaks between the transmission and t-case everytime I drive on the highway...so it was low on fluid on Prittchet because I had been pouring out ATF all the way from Denver. At this ponit the guy who own the transmission shop is just replacing parts until it gets it right, which outside of the inconvenience is ok since I get new free parts...this week he is replacing the alum. casing on the 231 he thinks it may have some internal cracking that is causing the issue, we will see.
