Stan, I had to post this. I have never seen so much damage on Spring Creek. I guess the lesson is: take your time, don't try to rush on the trail, even if you have run it many times before. Glad no one was hurt. John

Rolling on spring creek? Yeesh, those guys must have been in some hurry. When I ran it back in Oct. with 6" of snow there was nothing CLOSE to that much damage! Glad you didn't go over, Stan!

Three of them rolled and one put their rear into a tree. Lots of damage.

Just ran across the thread, thanks for getting it out there, John! :) Yeah, it was a really weird day - I just had a bad feeling about it from the start. There were too many people in the group, several of them inexperienced, and we had people from other groups jumping in and trying to spot which just made things more crazy.

I had a lot of fun with this one in PhotoShop - pretty amazing how that levitation box allows him to take that narrow shelf, don't ya think? :D

Wow that's some Carnage.

1 spotter and 1 spotter only is a rule I really enforce on trail runs.
