Pam and I are thinking about making a run out to Moab sometime after Labor Day, up until mid/late October. Maybe scout some trails for GSW 07, but mainly just to wheel, hang out, and drink beer. Probably stay at the Redstone.

We don't have any obligations that we're aware of during that time frame, just curious if anyone else wanted to tag along and when might work for you?

I have a reservation over Labor Day at the Red Stone Inn because I am considering going to Labor Day Camp Out. I am probably not going then but I am leaving it open. I know that 6 - 9 October I am tied up.

I reckon I would be up for actually taking my jeep to Moab this time. Not riding shotgun with a spider bite victim. Keep us posted on more details as the time comes closer. Thanks

Yes. I was planning on going this fall too. Fall colors in Moab, should be nice.

But is Cody going with his ultra-badass 4.0 and 35C???

35C's are the bomb! :D

Cody Drools?

John and I had talked about a GS trip, camping half way through. I'll be involved in a corporate move late Aug through September, so October would be better for me.

I now get 4.3 weeks of vacation a year, so I'd even be up for a long or very long weekend.

I will likely be in as well. Things change for me but with such a long lead time I will likely be able to go. Lets try to narrow down a date in a month or so if possible.

Ya, but i'll probably drop a different rear end and some long arms on the thing in the next couple months just cuz.

I was thinking about doing a Spike run as well. I think with a smaller group, where we all know each other pretty well, we wouldn't have to worry about some of the issues that make Spike a long day. For starters, I promise NOT to floor it on Double Whammy!! I was thinking about running it one day, so we have time to run some other trails too and don't have Spike taking up two days. I was hoping to run Spike, bomb through Cliffhanger really fast just to see how it's doing, Hell's Revenge, and maybe Moab Rim.

And it starts again . . . . . :D

I heard you talking to someone how the buggy just wasn't practical for doing some of the easier, longer trails that involve camping and stuff like that. That's what holding me back (and $$$) from going nuts like you, Matt, Kris, etc have done.

I'd like to try to make it out there in early Oct as well.

I'd be in for a trip anywhere in that time line.

Ya, it was impractical for long stuff. I'm planning a Hole in the Rock trip sometime late summer too, so hopefully i'll be able to get both trips in. I want to drive to Maine and eat lobster by the ocean this summer too, so we'll just see where the cards fall....just need to start getting some dates on paper.

as for the jeep, I've been feeling the bug a bit, but I think I'm going to put a 1000 limit on my spending. I'll do the long arms and a different rear end, and probably cut out the rockers for better clearance, but after that I think i'll leave it be for a bit. Just got to get that damn exhaust leak fixed....

I use to have 5 weeks of vacation a year.:D
I will show you the line I found on Double Whammy.

I would like to get in a few trails also. Two a day should be the plan, except for Spike Day.

I have 26 days paid a year....15 vacation 5 sick, 6 holidays. Since I've never called in sick to work before, and I'm not particularly festive, I just use them all as vacation. :D

I am very interested. I also have two friends who may want to go. Let me know a date and group size you were thinking of.

Wow,

I probably can't make it this Fall. That would be a heck of a weekend drive from College Station Tx.

However, I still get 30 days of paid vacation each year. I'm up to 40 so far as of 4 July 06.

Let me know a little closer to the date. I haven't been down to Moab since March 2005 and am DYING to get back. I'll probably be able to head out in Oct.

Is this a Grands only run?

It wouldn't be a grand only run, but we'd probably appreciate well built rigs.
