has anyone tried it? do you know who sells the adapter that in one side, will plug into the newer model radio that comes with one grey connector,
and the other side will have 2 jacks to connect to the ZJ 1996 car harness that come with one black and one grey plugs?
or alternativly i can buy the plug and jack and do the connection myself.

All of their decks come with trim pieces and wiring adaptors included in the price.

will have the wireing harness adapter and the brackets to adapt a 1.5 din size head unit to a 1 din size. it's easy the wires are color coded.
If I still had the factory stereo I would have gone crazy b/c it's so shitty:D

I actually still have the stocker and it does not even have a CD player.

Once all my other projects for the Jeep are done THEN I will build a kick ass system.

This one came up for an 01 GC, that wiring harness you posted doesn't look right at all...This one looks just like mine: http://www.crutchfield.com/S-5YdfgiQ9M0Y/cgi-bin/ProdView.asp?g=103000&I=120706502

then your right, I just posted what it came up with in my search for a 01 gc... I didn't know there was a change in 01, the one I posted is just like my 93,98,90,84 that I have done radios to.

I answered you over on JU where you posted the same question.

Quick summary: Yes it can be done, yes there's a Mopar adapter available and yes a round-corner HU fits fairly well with minimal modifications to the radio and no modifications to the ZJ.

And to answer the next question - yes, I've done it. I have a RAH HU in my '98. Installed it, along with three new pairs of Infinity Kappas, some B-Quiet Ultimate in the doors, and the Mopar iPod/aux input integration kit this last weekend.

And NO, I didn't do a write-up or take any pictures because I didn't think anyone here would give a shit, and I don't give a fuck about asshats on JU :flipoff2:
