I've got a set (4) of RE 3" coils and thinking of using them for a different project...

Anyone know about rate these springs are?

Not sure, but give RE a call, I bet they would know.

Not sure what you mean by that post??

English isn't my first language, so sometimes stuff that I say doesn't make sense to others.... I get shit from the guys at work for it.

Just made me laugh a bit seeing as how RE would know the specs on thier own product. No insult intended, I just thought your response was a riot.

It makes sense to call a company about thier own product, kinda thought stuff like that would be obvious. Like I stated before, no insult intended.

Yeah it's very obvious.... which is why I was wondering why even start this thread when RE is just a phone call away?

i've seen an equation on pirate. something to do with thickness of coil, diameter of spring and how many wraps/er foot or something. maybe try and search over there?

easiest would be to call RE, but if they don't know...

Try this...

http://www.efunda.com/DesignStandards/springs/calc_comp_designer.cfm

...or if you don't feel comfortable crunching the numbers, just call RE.

cause I was thinking of using my those coils for a 4link on my Sami - and I highly doubt RE is taking calls on Sundays.

Today is Tuesday, have you called them yet?
