I found this on the CNC forum. http://www.gulchesorvpark.com/ Apparently the trail system is eventually supposed to be as good as tellico or something. Anybody going up for the grand opening?

This place is 15 mins from school for me so I'm planning to hit it up pretty consistently once I get back up there in the fall. I was planning on helping cut some of the trails but my I never got a chance before exams and now I'm back in Atlanta..

I've heard it described as mild compared to riverrock, grayrock, and the other parks in the southeast, but once it gets rutted out and rockier it may have a chance. But being comparable to tellico? Ha- never, it's only on 80 acres...
I just caught and fixed my typo in the freakin title no less. It would be great if it ever did get to be real good place to wheel because an 16hr round trip to tellico pretty much blows total ass in my vibro-jeep.

Trying to make a trip for this weekend or the next. All depends on if I can get this water out of my tranny and if I can get a transfercase skid made up by then. Any interest please post. I have at least one more rig trying to go besides myself.

It's worth checking out.. There are some pretty steep hillclimbs that will get nasty with more rain and rutting out.. It was really dry through and dust was everywhere but we still had a good time. There are a couple challenging spots at this park, one is a trail called shipwreck that only 4 rigs have made it through so far on their own power. I gave it a shot and ended up with no steering, two flat tires one caused by unseating the inner bead, a toasted onboard air system and thus no rear locker, and a few token dents to remind me of it.. All in all, a fun day and I'm looking forward to being closer to the park once I'm back at school in august.
