im looking at getting a yj steering set up to run on my zj. i was reading some posts on here and if i understand correctly it will interfer with the trac-bar bolt. was just wandering if anyone has any experience with this set up and knows that it will work.

I have no idea about it hittin the tb bolt but it would be a cheap crossover conversion to use YJ linkage..... I have thought about doing this in the past but didn't research into it real far, but still interested in the info

I just installed a new drag-link and tie rod in a way that both are attached to the passenger side knuckle. When I install the tie rod under the knunckle it does hit the trackbar bolt. Going on top it hits the steering sabilizer bracket. So i cut part of the bracket off.

YJ's use different steering than TJ/ZJ/XJ/MJ
inverted T compared to inverted Y

IIRC, the Zj's tierod and draglink are way beefier than the YJ ones. The YJ has a better design, but the ZJ is heavier duty.

I'm using a YJ steering setup on my rig. The problem that I have is that I lose some of my turning radius turning right. The drag link does hit the trackbar/ steering stailizer bracket, I like the way it handles because I no longer have any bump steer.
