I rebuilt the control arms on a 96 zj and took off the coils, swaybar connects, and trac bar to get the arms back in and lined up. Put the coils, swaybar connects, and finally trac bar back on but when I went to bolt it back on it has shifted about an inch to the right of the hole. Its the RE heavy duty adjustable number. What have I done wrong and what do I need to do to get it back where it needs to be?

Have someone push the body of the Jeep in the direction it needs to go while you slide the bolt in.

Or turn the steering wheel, it'll move the body for you.

Or just take a ratchet strap from the axle to the body. I normally work by myself, so no one around to push.

You can turn the wheel, get out and measure, turn the wheel more, etc. That's how I did mine by myself.

If I'm alone, combination of turning the wheel and holding it with a come along works best to ligh the bolt hole up.
