il looking for a rod end with a regular needle bearing in it as opposed to a spherical bearing, it just needs to rotate, not piviot- just like a clevis sbut with a bearing- i want to use these on my tie rod so i dont get that "tie rod rotation" when you steer- you all know what i mean- when you steer the tie rod, weather its connected with heims or ball josint rotates alittle as opposed to moving the wheels and creates a dead spot- i think it wold work out cool- they need to be 3/4 lh and rh fine thread, also strong enugh for steering duty, the bearing has to be 3/4 id, also if it had sealed bearings that would be tittie's- out of all you fabricators out there someones got to be making something like this-

it would look just like this but put a bearing in the open hole-

I could be wrong, but I'm thinking that unless your steering knuckles are exactly parallel to one another (which they're not), that the TRE's change angles in relation to one another as the tires are turned. So a TRE like you're speaking of would either prohibit steering or break.

Don't take my word for it though, i'm tired as hell and i don't even think what i just typed even makes sense...

I think they make "limited" rotation rod ends for that reason, just needs that "little bit of play."

I get my 5/8X3/4" high mis-alignment teflon lined ones from www.bajaconcepts.com (http://www.bajaconcepts.com)

They seem to have the best prices on that particular heim.
