Going 75 mph on the interstate when 2 of the three wishbone/axle bolts snapped and lost control of the WJ as the rear axle was flopping around. Luckily no one was in the next lane and luckily the woman wasn't driving or we would certainly be dead right now. Trying to figure out if it's a shitty design, whether the bolts were loose for awhile allowing them to fatigue, or whether the telescoping Teraflex control arms allow twist and not enough support resulting in too much stress on the bolts.

is it lifted? if so you probably need one of those a-arm spacers to relieve the stress on it. still pretty crazy though, i've never heard of that happening. glad everyone's ok.

I have the 4" Teraflex lift which does have a spacer. This definitely scared the crap out of me. I don't feel safe driving it anymore. I'm just worried that this will happen to someone else causing serious injury or death. If anyone has ideas on how to strengthen that screwed up joint I sure would appreciate it.
