so i've noticed in the last 48 hours that my brake pedal has becoming very inconsistant. sometimes it's "firm" like a normal brake pedal with about 1/2 stroke depth when pressed... but then sometimes it "gives out" and goes to the floor.

sometimes it will stay firm the intire time... other's it will give out... sometimes it will be soft for the whole time i break. it's very irregular

Its funny, i've been having the same thing happen to mine. I had a good pedal for a while now its starting to need a pump or 2 every once in a while. I think I'm going to change the master cylinder again.. OR Kung Fu it.

Sounds like a master cylinder issue or bad wheel bearings. Does it drop after turning? If so, check the wheel bearings. If it's something that there's no rhyme or reason to, it's probably a M.C. that's internally bypassing.

I had the same prob with mine before I sold it. I just pulled the ABS relay. The light stayed on, but solved all my problems.

I had that happen to my first car (a godly volvo 240), Bleeding the brakes helped for a little bit, but I ended up changing the MC

MC was changed... it was the problem.
