lately when ive been driving my jeep and i go to turn sometimes it will be hard to turn (right or left) and it will act like it doesnt want to turn.the steering wheel feels like it would if i was trying to turn it with the motor not running, i will be turning the wheel and then all of a sudden it will turn, and the steering wheel feels normal again. im sure my box is bad but i thought i would ask before i spent the money on a new one. the fluid level is normal.

I've been trying to figure out bascially the same problem on my truck. I think it's the box. I put a new pump and hydroboost and still is doing it.

Is the fluid old ? Ive seen old fluid get hot easier and foam, and not respond like it should.

Pull the return line off the pump and plug the fitting. Put the hose in a bucket, Fire it up and keep pouring fluid until it comes out nice
