If im not mistaken, i do believe the alum. 44 will go in, the suspension is all the same as far as i know, a buddy of mine has an aluminum 44 and he sold his complete 3.5 inch lift to a budy with a 95 6cyl, w/ dana 35, his was a 96 V8.

I have a new TJ unlimited D44 Steel rear axle with 3.73 trac lock and discs. No calipers though.

PM me if interested. I believe it should bolt up to your ZJ.

How far out can you wait? I am in the middle of a d44 build for my ZJ and I will have the stock d35 w/rotors and 3.73s availible after that, but I'm about a month away from the swap, no calipers though.

Edit: Sorry, I'm going to keep the rotors that are on there now, but I thinnk I have access to another set

michael - where are you?

I am looking at replacing my 35C (3.73, discs, rotors and pads >1000 mi.). What are you looking to pay ? Shipping may be a bitch and not even worth it depending on how far you are.

I would want your old axle as part of the trade, at least the exterior, because I'll need the brackets etc for an 8.8 swap.

I am getting close to swapping in the 8.8 and then I will have the 35 complete up for sale. Including all the brakes with Stillen rotors, 3.73'e and the rest of the stock stuff.

I have a D44A with all the stock mounts on it in great shape. Has 3.73's and LS (I think). I was going to use this but went the 8.8 route instead. Let me know if you still need it. I'll PM you my contact #'s.

FYI you might need to have the ds shortened... & it may or may not use the same u-joint. When I swapped the AL44 from my totalled 5.9 to my '96 4.0, I had to have the shaft shortened & get an adapter u-joint. Aside from that, it's a 100% bolt in swap.
